10/14/25

Since I went to bed pretty early last night, I woke up early, like a little before 6 am. But then I fell back asleep until probably around noon. So that was unfortunate a bit, because I probably should have pomped at like, 10 or something, just to get a few more hours. But I woke up at noon, I made a coffee, I got ready, and I left. On my way to class, I heard a loud scraping noise, and at first I thought my tire blew off or something, so I pulled over and looked, and it was actually the under part of my bumper that started dragging. So I kinda popped it back up and kept driving.

My class was patho today, and it was boring. We went over neurological stuff, multiple sclerosis, that kind of stuff. And that was basically all we did for three hours. It was kind of awkward with Adriana because I saw her upstairs and felt like I had to talk to her since I talked to her at The Library. But I don't know, it was weird.

After class I went to go pomp, and Scott was there when I got there. Then Jafar showed up, and eventually there were a lot of tekes there. Which wasn't really good, because that means everyone is grinding out hours so they won't be a sober driver. I swear, if I'm a sober driver...I am going to be mad. So I did two hours there, I'm now up to seven total hours.

Then I left, got a free cheeseburger from my McDonald's Monopoly reward, and went to work. Rylee was there until 7:30, so I talked to her some. Apparently she was doing backhand-springs and was really drunk on Saturday, too. Like, she barely remembered talking to me then. So at least I wasn't that bad, because I remember talking to her pretty clearly. I didn't get a request until probably 9 o'clock, and it was from med tele to CT scan. So I went to get the guy, and there's a nurse preparing to take him to ICU. So I told them I got a thing to take him to CT scan, so they said take him there and then to ICU. Now we aren't supposed to take people to the ICU unless there's a nurse with us, but the nurse seemed fine with me going by myself and the patient was fully conscious and everything, he just had low blood pressure. So I took him to CT scan, and Stephanie, the CT tech, realized his IV bag was leaking, so she took his IV out, and I think there was stuff in there for his low blood pressure, so that kind of worried me. But he did fine and we got that done, then I took him to the ICU to bed 9. The ICU kind of creeps me out. But I got that done, brought his bed and monitor back up to med tele, and then I got another assignment to bring someone to CT from surgical. And this lady from surgical was kind of crazy. First she wanted me to call CT and ask what kind of scans they wanted, so I did that, and I kind of forgot what CT said as soon as I hung up, so I think I lied to the lady. I said abdomen, pelvis, and head or something. But I brought her down there, she was kind of cranky but nice, and I got that done, too. And that was basically it for the night. They were eating a whole Mexican food mukbang in the break room when I left so I was kind of jealous of that.

I went to McDonald's again after work and used another Monopoly thing I'd won, which was for a mini McFlurry, and that hit the spot.

Then I went to Nana's because I didn't want to go all the way home, even though those guys were going to be there working in the morning. So I just planned to wake up early and try and leave before they got there. I played one round of Fortnite and then watched TikTok until about 2 in the morning. And that was my day.

So, 5/10. Nothing exciting but nothing that bad.
