10/31/25

Today was Halloween, but more importantly, it was my check-off day. So I woke up to my alarm at 6 am in Jalyn's room. I'd gotten maybe an hour of sleep last night, but I got up, grabbed my jacket and puffer, said bye, and left that place. On my way out of Towers, after descending twelve flights of stairs, I saw a piano in the laundry/commons area, so I went in a played for a couple of minutes. It was kind of fun.

So I left there, walked all the way back to 333, which took a little bit, got in my car, and drove to Nana's. I really wanted to just go to sleep, but I had to go to my check-offs, they were in less than two hours. So I took a shower, got dressed in my scrubs, and left. I didn't even really review any this morning. I went to McDonald's and got a steak, egg, and cheese biscuit. That felt like a bit too much for this morning, but it's okay. I ate that in my car, and went up there at about 8 am.

I got to Crisp and reviewed my rubric and made sure I had all of my supplies out by that vending machine area. So I was doing that for 10-15 minutes, and then I went up to actually do them. They called Kaylen and I right in as soon as I got there, because Kaylen also had this time slot. She chose the trach ones first, so I did wound care and Foley first. I was so nervous and maybe still a little drunk. Just kidding, I know I wasn't drunk, just groggy. But I got through those two. On my catheter one, the water syringe exploded everywhere again. But Mrs. Stinnett just said to keep going, so I did. So I got both of those done and the only thing I know I did wrong was forget to wash my hands after taking off the clean gloves. Then Mrs. Stinnett and I started talking about Halloween movies, which was kind of fun. She's a really nice teacher. Then next I did the trach ones with Mrs. Hall, and those were a little harder. I thought that I still did alright though. So I finished up, grabbed a donut that CJ had brought on the way out, and went home.

I got home and slept from about 10 am to 2:30 pm. The grades were in by this time and I passed the wound care and Foley insertion, but I failed the trach ones. Dang it. So I'll have to make those up next week. I really don't know what I did wrong, I guess I wasn't careful enough while I was sterile. I am pretty sure I didn't do anything else for the rest of the day, I don't really remember. I definitely did not go out for Halloween, I was still too tired. I know I was out some with the dogs, played some Club Penguin that night and watched Chamber of Secrets.

So I'll just say that was my day. It was boring and stressful this morning. But that also wraps up October I guess. This month as a whole wasn't too significant. I'm trying to recall it a bit. I did blog most of it, so that's an accomplishment. But yeah, today was a 3/10.

10/30/25

Today I didn't want to get up, probably because I was up until 4 am last night, but I did get up eventually, at around noon. I didn't do too much before leaving for class, but my dad wanted to put my new windshield sprayer on since my other one broke, but we found out the one he bought was wrong because it needed a straight tube and this one had a 90 degree turn. So that didn't work out.

I went to lab before my class, I left at around 1 pm. I practiced some of my skills there for a bit. Breanna was there so I talked to her some.

Then I went to my class at 3, which was pharmacology. I don't think we did too much, we were learning about heart meds and beta blockers. At the end we had a quiz that everyone was kind of worried about, but it ended up being a Family Feud sort of thing, where she'd read the questions and then someone from your team would run up and ring the bell. I got on a pretty good team and I actually got to talk some, like to Paige and Kinleigh. So that was a fun quiz.

I left and got a small McDonald's fry for free and then went back to practice in the lab some more. The lab was pretty full this time around. I went over to CJ and watched him do some skills, and then I practiced while he watched me. I did not do well compared to him. He did all the steps perfect. I started with catheter and I messed up about fifteen times, my water syringe exploded all over the place twice, I couldn't get the lube open, it was a mess. I also practiced wound dressing and trach suction with him, so I think it was a pretty productive practice. He gave me lots of tips. And we got to know each other a bit better. We talked about sports some, he's a Bucks and Packers fan apparently.

I left lab eventually because everyone except me and the two foreign exchange girls had left. I went to the library after that and wrote down everything from the check-off rubric onto a notebook, along with other notes that I thought were helpful. I was at the library for an hour or so.

Then I left and went to Walmart, because there was our Halloween party tonight. I hadn't really planned at all for the party tonight. Before I left this morning, I'd grabbed my jean jacket, red puffer vest, and one of my dad's shirts so that I could be Marty from Back to the Future. I was him for one of the high school Halloween dances, but I had no other options for tonight. Anyways, I went to Walmart and bought a Four Loko and that was really all I planned on drinking tonight, because my check-offs were at 8:15 am tomorrow morning. After Walmart I went to HealthPoint to try and run inside the therapy section to go to the bathroom, but they were closed, or their doors at least wouldn't work, so I went to Kidd's and went there instead.

So after that I still had some time before the party, it was probably 8:30 pm or so, so I sat outside of the Baptist Student Center and read over my notes that I made at the library. I got pretty good at memorizing all of that, and I was there doing that for an hour and a half or so. Then a little before 10, I made my way to 333.

So this party wasn't too busy at first, but it never starts out busy. The only people really there were tekes, some Delta Chis (because this was a paired party with them), some Tri Deltas, like Keely and Hannah, and some TKE girlfriends, like Teddy. So I started kind of awkward because I didn't know who to talk to. I was kind of surprised that most people immediately knew who I was dressed as. I feel like I had one of the better costumes. Mason was Bob Ross, Romell was a lederhosen guy, Eddy was a pirate, Whitlow was Twister, I think Grant was a banana, there was a big variety. So I talked to them to start out. Then I ended up talking to Nyk for a long time, like 45 minutes or so. We just talked about our jobs and nursing and stuff. He wasn't even dressed as anything. Then I went downstairs for a bit, and it was a little weird. It was definitely busy down there, I just don't really dance, so I just stood around for a bit. I talked to Teddy some, watched Kevin and whoever play some cup pong, and then I had to go to my shift at 11 to work the bar. This was probably the busiest time for working the bar, there were so many people coming in. It really wasn't that bad, though, I got to talk to lots of people and everyone was like, "Marty!" I also took a couple of drinks from the coolers for myself. Some other guys joined me behind the bar to kind of help out, like Jafar, Matt was there for a bit, I think Mason was there. I was supposed to be opening the drinks before I served them, but my finger was killing me so I stopped doing that. But I was kind of getting into it, I was a good bartender. After that was over at midnight, I was free. I ran into Shaylea, and I really don't know about her. I was kind of trying to avoid her not going to lie. But I still talked to her some. I tried to get her to get Scott to talk to her friend again for some reason. I think she eventually went over to Sig Tau. There was this other girl I was talking to who was dressed as Cleopatra and I kind of wish I'd have gotten her number or something. If I had it, I wouldn't have done anything, but she was nice. And then that one girl I talked to on homecoming night was there, Jalyn. So I talked to her, she was dressed as a nurse. The party shut down at 1 am, but the Jalyn girl was texting me afterwards and said she was at Logan's house, and I was like, oh, I know him, I can go there.

me and my costume, as photographed by Ryker (notice the lack of braces)

So after the party, I started walking to Cape Trails from 333, which is a little crazy, it's apparently a 34 minute walk. When I was leaving, Whitlow was on the front porch with this Delta Chi who was dressed as someone from Devil May Cry I think. But I started talking about Silent Hill and asking if it was similar to that for some reason. Anyways, I left and I called her and told her to put Logan on the phone because it'd be weird if I just showed up. I made it almost to Rhodes before Scott pulled up to me, I don't know where he came from, but he was there. So he drove me to Cape Trails. But then she texted me they were now back at Towers. So I apologized to Scott, but he was fine with it, and he took me to Towers. We pulled up right in front of Zach and all the girls he was with. Jalyn was one of them, and I thought we were all going to hang out and eat Taco Bell, because she'd texted me that they had Taco Bell, but Zach and them went one way because they live in a separate tower than her. So I was left with her and we went back to her dorm. She did have a quesadilla, so she gave me half of that and we watched some Grey's Anatomy. We really just talked. I actually went over my check-offs several times on her, so that was good practice I guess. And I also did end up spending the night with her, which was really just about an hour of sleep. So that was weird, but I'm glad we didn't go further than me just sleeping in her room. But it was interesting learning about her.

So that was the day. It was pretty good, the party was fun, I probably shouldn't have gone to it with my check-offs being the next day, but whatever. Today was a 6/10.

10/29/25

Today I had my assessment class, and I don't think I did anything until this class. I think I slept until this class. So I probably got up and left around noon.

I got to my class at 1 pm and this was the assessment clinical, so the army lady is the teacher. There was also a new teacher named Mrs. Rigdon, who was older, like in her 70s. She said "Like James?" when I told her my name was Bronson. Not sure who James Bronson is, but she was nice, she taught the first bit. We were going over musculoskeletal assessment. We had to be paired up with someone we aren't usually with to practice, so Noelle and I paired up. This assessment was pretty easy, it's just testing movement of body parts. Then we watched army lady do an assessment on CJ. Then after class CJ asked if I could be his patient for his mini ROS video, so I said sure and he did that. It took him two takes while somehow mine took over forty, but he did forget to ask my pain level. And I forgot to tell him. Sorry. But he did a lot of stuff I didn't do, like check the popliteal pulse. But he didn't check the brachial pulse. So ours were probably about the same. Then I left and walked through the rain to my car, because it was still raining.

After class I got a free cheeseburger from McDonald's and went to Nana's. I just played Fortnite here for a bit and then went home, because apparently my mom was making hashbrown casserole and she had rejected going to Top of the Marq so that she could practice my skills with me.

So I got home and we ate. She made this stir-fry that she thought was really spicy, I didn't think it was too bad, and then the hashbrown casserole. So that was a good meal. My mom got to see my teeth for the first time, and then we went to practicing.

It is actually so draining practicing with her. It's thorough and I usually memorize it pretty good, but it's a lot. I did the tracheostomy skills first, and she got out that one giraffe stuffed animal Janell used to have, and she made that my patient, with a homemade trach. So that was something. Then we did Foley catheter and that was also something. We didn't even get to wound dressing and we'd been doing this for three hours. I also missed a TKE social with Gamma Phi tonight, but this really was more important.

After practicing, she went to bed, and I didn't really practice anymore. I watched the new Slushy Noobz video, which was actually awesome. The mall video. Then I watched the new Claire Drake video, then I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and then I took a shower and watched some Always Sunny, the Psycho Pete and Charlie Work episodes. By this time it was past 4 am so I went to sleep.

Today, not much happened. 3/10.

10/28/25

Today I got my braces off, so I was up at 9 am to be at my appointment at 10. I almost slept through it because I fell back asleep, but my dad made sure I was up. My dad never liked my braces, he probably thought they were feminine or something, so he was excited I was getting them off. So I got up, brushed my teeth, and drove there.

I got there a little before 10 and went in, and I was checked in pretty fast. Instead of going to a normal seat out in the middle of the room, I went back to a little private room, and that's where everything went down. They went right in and popped off all of my brackets immediately, I didn't realize they could come off that easily. So that wasn't too bad. But then the lady started scraping the glue off of my teeth, and it was making this awful noise, it felt like my teeth were being destroyed. And it also kind of hurt, some of my teeth near the back were really sensitive to that. Then I thought we were kinda done, because the lady started explaining what to do with my retainer. But then Kate Barnett barges into the room, and she actually starts going crazy on my teeth, and that hurt. She had this saw-razor thing that was grinding my teeth down, and there was this smell that smelled kind of like burning. So that was awful and painful and I was praying for it to be over. And it eventually was, and that was that. Then, she told me I have a cavity on one of my back teeth, and it had to have been under the bracket or something, because I looked at it, and it was kind of big. Like I could fully see it. So I don't know how they could have missed that all of my appointments unless it was under it. So that actually sucks because the last time I had a cavity, it was so painful getting filled. I'm gonna have to ask for extra anesthetic. Anyways, then I had to go get some x-rays and then I left, without even saying bye to Kate.

I went to McDonald's on the way to Nana's and got a small fry. My retainer fits really tight up in there and there's a cracking sort of noise when I take it out, but whatever. So I ate that and went to Nana's. I just played some Fortnite there until class at 1 pm.

Class was boring, it was pathophysiology. We went over lungs and respirations and stuff, then took the quiz. We got put into new quiz groups today, but I didn't really participate much because some other people were fine doing everything.

After class I went to Teen Challenge to see if there were any Halloween costume ideas I could get, but I didn't find anything. Then I went to the gym and worked out for an hour or so. I just did some of the machines, did some arms, chest, legs, little of everything. Not really any cardio though, I was going to do the stairs but didn't.

After that I went and filled up with gas, cleaned the trash out of my car, and drove to work. I'd already changed into my work clothes in the gym, so that was done. I pulled out in front of a car while turning into the hospital so they honked at me, and then this other completely unrelated car honked, too. Like boy, shut up, you are not in on this.

Work was alright, not too busy, but just busy enough. Rylee and Tyler were there for the first hour or so. Also, I went in at 6:00 instead of 6:30 pm today, because he changed my schedule. But work was good. There was an MRI, an ultrasound, lots of ER to different areas of the hospital. I went to neuro, oncology, surgical, pavilion, CPC, all over. There was also a lot of food in the break room that people brought for Halloween. I had two of those frosted sugar cookies, an apple crisp thing, and a chocolate cupcake. I ended up staying late because I got an ER request like, 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave. That one was to med tele and I had to walk the lady's daughter back down to the ER after because she was lost. I think I finished that at 10:45, and there was another request after that, but I ended my shift because I was supposed to be done. I also had to fill out my schedule for the next scheduling period because that was due November 1st and I wouldn't be here again before that. So that schedule was in the house supervisor office and I wrote my same schedule up until after finals week, and I took that week off because my parent's are off that week and we may do a vacation or something. I also asked for Christmas off, and then I upped my hours to 25 hours a week for a couple of weeks after that. And I left after that.

I drove home, and it was still rainy, it's been raining for the past three days or so. So I had to drive kind of slow. My dad was up when I got home, so I talked to him for a bit. He was happy I got my braces off, and then he was showing me these pictures of this guy in a wheelchair and these genealogy family tree pictures. Then he went to bed and I went downstairs. I watched the Slushy Noobz third Silent Hill video and made some tortellini. Then I went to bed at around 1:30 am.

So my braces came off today, that's the main event. It was painful but I'm glad they're off. Today was a 5/10 I guess.

10/27/25

Today I had my two exams, so I woke up at around 6:20 am, and my mom came up shortly after and gave me a coffee. I tried studying some at home, but I didn't get too much done. I really just needed to study the stuff for fundamentals because I went over assessment so much yesterday, I was pretty confident for that. So I studied at home until 7:40 or so and then I left and went to the library.

I only had an hour or so at the library before my class. Also, the sidewalk to the library was closed for some reason, so I took a little detour through the backyard behind that one Ignite house and I had to do a little climbing and parkour. And I went in the back entrance of the library. So I got a little more studying done up on the third floor in my little chair there.

Fundamentals was my first exam, so I went there and got that done. We could use our own computers, which was nice, and we could leave once we were done, which was also nice. So I did all of that, I felt like I knew some of it, I wasn't too confident, but I ended up with a 100/125, so an 80%. And I'm okay with that, that's passing. And it was even a little above the average for the exam.

After that exam, I left and tried getting some free McDonald's fries, but they apparently don't serve fries before 10:30, and I already pressed to use that coupon, so I couldn't do another one for 15 minutes. So I left without getting anything from there. Then I went to Nana's and planned to study some but didn't do too much. They are finished now over there, but there's still sawdust everywhere and I don't think we're putting furniture back yet, because my parents still want to paint over there. But anyways, I played some Fortnite, kind of as a break, and then studied some.

I went back to Crisp at 1 pm and took the assessment exam. Mrs. Burk was the teacher, and she had us use the school laptops, and those are annoying. They take forever to log in. She mentioned LanSchool and I hadn't heard of that in forever. I guess those computers have that on them. But I did this exam and I started out a little unsure. But then I saw some familiar questions, and I ended up getting an 82% on this one. I should have studied the cardiac slides more. I forgot the pulmonary and semilunar stuff. But that's still passing, so I'm fine.

Once I got out of there, I drove to the other side of town, not really for any reason. I was gonna go to Target. I got behind this crazy New York driver on my way there. So I went to Target and I ended up buying the Lego Ford Anglia set from Harry Potter. I don't know why, but I saw it on sale on Amazon the other day and it caught my attention. It was only a dollar or so off, but that only lasted a day and I didn't get it. It was only ten dollars at Target though, so I got it. I deserve it for passing my exams. Then I went to Sam's Club because I was a bit hungry and I got a pizza combo and ate it there. I walked around Sam's a bit too.

Then I went home and my dad was out by the trailer under the porch thing at the Morton building. And then like, a minute after I got home, my grandpa pulled up because I guess he was borrowing the trailer. So I went over and said hi to him and told him about my exams. Then I went in and started building my new set. I was also watching Mandy's vlog from yesterday. My dad left and my sister got home. Then my mom also got home a little later and she brought Olive Garden. She got lasagna, breadsticks, and salad. So that was pretty good, I wasn't too hungry from the pizza, but I still ate some breadsticks and lasagna.

Then Janell and I went downstairs so I could practice this mini ROS assessment video I had to make. So we practiced that for a bit and then Janell left to go make dog toys or something for community service hours. I fell asleep and was asleep for basically the whole time she was gone. Once she got back at 7 pm or so, we started recording the video for the assessment. It took me over 40 takes and an hour and a half to get the video right. I had the instructions on the TV behind the camera, but it was still hard to remember everything. I don't know how I'm gonna do the actual full head-to-toe assessment. But we got that done and then watched It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown because I always want to watch that around Halloween, but I always forget. I thought the Great Pumpkin would actually show up at the end, but I guess I remembered that wrong. Then we tried watching a movie, but couldn't find a good one. We started The Black Phone, The Thing, and Terrifier, but we just couldn't get into it. Then I took some Nyquil and fell asleep.

So that was my day. It was pretty good, still only a 5/10 though.

10/26/25

Today was another day where I never left the house. It was Sunday so I was just going to keep studying for my two exams tomorrow. I got up around 11 AM, my mom made some pizzas, my sister got home, we ate, and I studied. I tried studying on my own, but then I studied with my mom, and I feel like I got it a lot more, even if she's sometimes annoying to study with. It wasn't that bad this time. I really studied forever today. From probably 1-6 PM I was hardcore studying, going through all of my assessment slides. I also texted Grant that I couldn't go to chapter today, mainly because I was studying, but I told him it was because I wasn't feeling good, which was also true. I've had a sore throat since Monday, and my sore throat is kind of gone now, but I still have this awful cough. I took some codeine and Dayquil today, but it hasn't gotten better. And I might be fined $20 for missing chapter because the new guys were being inducted or initiated or something. They better not fine me.

For dinner, we were all here, and we had some of the leftover turkey and gravy from yesterday, but also had mashed potatoes, grapes, and cucumbers. Pretty good dinner. After dinner I did some homework and tried studying some more, but I was a little burnt out. Also, it was a really rainy day today, like all day rain, so I really couldn't go outside at all. Janell was also doing homework pretty late into the night with my mom, so I tried studying my fundamental stuff, but didn't get too into it. It was also a good day for Slushy Noobz, because they uploaded on the main channel, there was a podcast episode today, and Mandy uploaded a video. I'm going to try and wait for after my exams tomorrow to watch them.

But that was really my whole day, inside basically all day. I did see Chowder quite a bit, he was on the back porch most of the day because of the rain. But it was an alright day for being trapped inside. I like when the family's all here. 4/10.

10/25/25

Today I never left the house. I woke up around 10 or 11, so I really only got four or so hours of sleep. My mom was instantly telling me to get studying, because I have two exams on Monday. She had made me an omelet and coffee, so that was nice. So I ate those and I did get studying. At least I tried to. I read the first couple pages of the nutrition chapter, and I just couldn't. I read through the PowerPoint, though. And that was the basis of the day. I'd read some, look through the PowerPoint, take a break and go outside, and then get back to it. I did get quite a bit of homework done, just not much studying.

I don't think I ate lunch, but for supper, my mom made turkey, gravy, and fried potatoes and sweet potatoes. That was a pretty good meal. I went outside some more, played with Chowder and Opal, I played piano quite a bit. That's really all that happened today.

Then that night I watched Halloween for the first time. It wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. I thought there'd be a bigger twist at the end than just, he can't be killed for some reason. I thought the doctor guy was actually gonna be evil. But yeah, I watched that and went to bed.

Today was super boring and I procrastinated. 3/10.

10/24/25

Today was Friday, so I had my fundamentals clinical, and it was actually early today. Usually she gives us an hour off in the morning, so we don't have to be there until 8 AM, but today we had to be there at 7 AM. But I got up on time, maybe even a little early, at around 5:45 AM. My mom was also there to get me up because she was leaving for work. But I got ready and left. I kind of like being up this early. Not all the time, but every once in a while. There was a great sunrise this morning. It was also chilly, it was the first time I've seen it be in the 30s since early this year.

I got to class and turned in my med pass cards. I ended up turning in the orange cards because I did not transfer over all the stuff onto the templated ones my mom printed out. Then we took a quiz over med pass, and I got a 2/10. Holy mackerel that was rough. I really just got unlucky, I knew the two I got right and I guessed on the others. Chances are I would have gotten some of them right, but no. Just unlucky. The questions were things like, "How long do you leave a syringe in after an intramuscular injection." I didn't know if that one was 5 or 10 seconds. Anyways, class went on, I had the stupid chair that somehow always comes back to my spot no matter if I move it. It's the chair that doesn't stay up, it will slowly lower down and I'll be on the floor while everyone else is raised up to the table. It sucks, but I just have to deal with it. For the rest of the first half of this class, we went over the med cards, then had scenarios where we got to practice giving different injections on this fake skin. I was in a group with Adriana and Breanna, but it was kind of like a big group, because the class was split in half. So we did some injections, some insulin stuff, I think Mrs. Stinnett accidentally pricked herself with an insulin needle so she was freaking out. We also practice pumping the stuff out of a dummy with an NG tube, that was gross. They had this weird vomity mixture and some people went up and did that, I didn't Before we went for our lunch break, we all got in a circle and were given an ampule to crack open. We went one by one and some people were really struggling. I was the last to go, and mine went easily. Poor Breanna somehow cut herself. Then we went to lunch.

I got Janell to come get me lunch. We caught up some and were talking about Halloween costumes quite a bit. She thinks I should be Frank Gallagher. I don't know what I'm gonna be. Probably nothing, because check-offs are the day before Halloween and I'll be too stressed about that. I had Indian food and Janell had pizza, what's new. Towers Landing was actually packed because it was some kind of orientation day or high school day at SEMO, so there were high schoolers everywhere. I saw Panashe in line and he said hi to me. I also saw Rakin while I was sitting with Janell. He was apparently a leader for one of these tour groups, but he lost his group. But we talked for a bit. And that was lunch.

I went back to class at 1 PM and we were just working on previous skills now to practice for check-offs next week. So Adriana and I went through three of the four we need to know. We didn't have time for foley catheters because we got out early at 3 PM and we both kind of wanted to leave. But we got some good practice in. We also talked a lot, which was nice, because honestly, I really haven't just talked to someone besides Janell or someone, in a while. We talked about homecoming, how I'm in a frat, how my grandma's house's floors are getting done, I learned that her dad also does lumber, that she drank a Coronarita (I'd never heard of that) after the tailgate last Saturday, all sorts of stuff. So that was nice. We took a picture after class because Kaylen wanted to for some reason, but that was also kind of nice.

After class, there was the social with Tri Delta at 6 PM, so I didn't want to go home and have to come back, so I went to Nana's for a couple of hours. I was hoping they'd be done, but they still weren't over there. It's been like a month now. The workers weren't there when I got there, but the floors looked wet from the varnish. But I tested them out, and they were just a little bit tacky. Barely noticeable. So I took off my shoes and tiptoed to the stairs. I went upstairs and played some Fortnite and relaxed. There was also dust everywhere in the house. I guess from them sanding the floors down, but it was even all upstairs. My TV stand was covered, my fridge, my desk. How did that much dust get up here? But whatever.

I left to go to 333 a little after 6 PM, I didn't want to get there too early. There were some people there, including Janell. I didn't think there'd be too many people there because I think Phi Delta or someone is having their philanthropy event at this same time, but there were some people. It was kind of awkward at first, I just showed up and didn't know what to do. But Mason told me to carve a pumpkin, so I got one and got busy. I didn't know what I was going for, it ended up being a pretty standard looking jack-o-lantern. Hannah kept saying mine was the worst. I also accidentally threw away the top of it, so it didn't have a top. But I liked mine. I didn't really get a picture of it. Then we just sat around the campfire and talked some. I made a smore, so that was good. Then Keely sat next to me, and after a while, Owen and whoever started saying "Maybe Bronson is the problem," and then he was mouthing, "f*ck you." And apparently he was doing all this because he thought that I was the one who sat down next to Keely because I was still into her. First off, why does he care, second off, I sat here first, third off, I'm not still into her, I'm not talking or looking at her, she just sat next to me. He doesn't even like her, he calls her fat, so why is he defending her. So that was weird. Keely did this thing where she passed the camera around and everyone was supposed to take a picture of themself, and I think mine turned out pretty bad. I didn't stay too long after that, because they started breaking out the wine and I had to get home and do my homework that was due tonight. I gave Kenedy my seat when I was leaving.

a picture that got posted on instagram

So that really wasn't that great there, could've been better. I got home and started on my homework. I got one of the assignments done at the campfire, but the other was a quiz for assessment lecture, which I needed to do, because I have a 74% in that class for forgetting to do the last quiz. So I did it and my mom helped me, but there was 15 minute time limit, and the questions were taking us longer than 15 minutes. So I didn't get as much time as I needed, but at least it was done. Then I went downstairs and made a box of pasta and ate it all, basically in one sitting. Then I'm pretty sure I had a pretty severe food coma. I've never had that before, but it happens when you eat a lot at once, especially carbs, and you get really tired because your body has to break it all down. I don't even really remember falling asleep or anything, I just woke up and a couple hours had passed. It was like, 2 AM now. So that was weird. Then I worked on some of the EAQ questions due Sunday, and then at around 3 AM, I wanted to watch a horror movie since it's almost Halloween, so I watched The Shining, which I'd never seen, and I have to be honest, it was a lot different than I was expecting. It was a lot more psychological than I'd thought. Creepiest scene was the decomposing bath lady. But it was an alright movie, great cinematography and acting.

I think it was almost 6 AM before I fell back asleep. So that was my day. It did feel like a pretty full day, so I'll give it a 5/10.

10/23/25

Today was a little bit stressful and scary for me. I had a pharmacology exam today, so I got up at around 9 AM and started studying for that around 10. My mom was home this morning for some reason, I don't really know why. But she made pancakes with chocolate chips in them, so those were good. Then I tried studying some for a couple hours, but didn't get too much done. I was just studying the Quizlets because apparently those are all that are on the exam. Eventually I decided to go to the library to try and be more focused. My mom made this sub sandwich for me with roast beef, lettuce, pickles, onions, buffalo sauce, and cheese on it, so I ate that on the way there and it was delicious.

I got to the library a little after 1 PM I think, so I still had an hour and a half or so to study. So I studied a bit at the library, sitting in one of the comfy chairs on the third floor. And I studied there until 2:50 and then I went to class.

We had to use the school-issued laptops to take the exam because it uses Lockdown Browser and records your face and all that. So we got that, and whiteboards, calculators, and markers, and we started. The exam code was "March" fun fact. So I started and I was suddenly not confident at all. I only recognized a few questions from the Quizlets. I looked around and no one else really seemed worried. Luckily the dosage calculation ones were easy and I remembered to write the units this time. I finished in like, 40 minutes or so, and left. She had said we weren't lecturing afterward, so that was good.

So I got to my car and checked my score, and I got a 56 percent. I literally started crying, because I thought my 70 on the last exam was awful. So I was full-on making plans to drop out of college and join the military. It also showed the average and it said the average was around 75, so I definitely did the worst. I started driving and was planning on just going to the gym to let out my anger. Then people started texting in the nursing group chat, and they were saying how a lot of what was on the exam was stuff we haven't learned. There were malaria and antifungal meds on there and we had no way to learn those because she posted the information for those today. Then they said she wanted to meet with us today again, but I was not going back, I already left. But apparently she just wanted to tell us she's sorry that that stuff was on the exam and she was giving everyone 9 points back. I checked my score and I was at 66 percent now. Okay, not great, but a little better.

I still went to the gym and was mad. I just did my normal workout on the machines, but after I was there for 45 minutes or so, I checked the score again, and I was at an 80. So I was very happy now, it said the average was an 82, so I'm happy being near that. I guess she hadn't graded my dosage calculations yet. So I was finally happy. While in the gym I was looking up "should I drop out of college" so I was going through it. I got done and left.

I got the flavor of the day from Culver's after that, and it was alright. It was cashews and caramel. They barely put any of the toppings, though. It was basically just vanilla ice cream. But whatever, it was free.

I still had an hour or so before work, so I just drove around, and I found some pretty cool places. I went out past Walmart and took a county road behind Notre Dame. There were some huge houses back there, a golf course, a sidewalk (that amazed me), and I ended up on highway 74. Then I ended up downtown and I sat in my car for a bit by the flood wall.

I went and got a free snack wrap from McDonald's. I'd never had that, it wasn't great. Not awful, though. Cheyenne handed it to me and I think we both recognized each other.

I went to work and I had stuff as soon as I got there again. The first was someone from neuro, and there were a ton of people up on neuro. Apparently Southeast College of Nursing students were there for clinical today, and Mariel was also there. So I talked to her for a bit, she was just with the patient I had to take. This other student helped me get the patient up and into a wheelchair. Then Mariel came with me to CT scan with the patient, I guess just to talk and see what I do. So that was kind of cool. She had to leave while we were down there, though, so I walked her back up to the floor 3 because she was lost. I also took an elevator with some of the students and teachers and they were talking to me some, that was interesting. They were having a conference thing on floor 2. There were several more requests tonight. I had one from dialysis, which was new for me, one to ultrasound, some from ER to the floor, I was all over. But I also had probably an hour of free time. So it was another good day at work.

After work I went home, and my mom was still up because she wanted to show me the progress she'd made on my med pass cards, which was actually a lot. She wanted me to rewrite all of the meds on the template that she'd printed out, but I didn't end up doing that. Sorry mom, but that's too much work. But I do really appreciate her finalizing all of those for me. I finally finished the Detroit Become Human videos on Patreon, and I went to bed at around 2 AM.

So my day was almost awful if I really got a 56 percent, but an 80 is something that I'm proud of. So today may actually be around a 5/10.

10/22/25

I don't know what I did this morning, probably woke up late because of how late I stayed up last night.

I had class at 1 PM, so I know I went to that. We had the new strict ass teacher again. At the start of class, one girl was on her phone uploading an assignment or something, and she freaked out. She was like, "No phones, all phones away NOW." And apparently this woman also has hearing loss because she was in the military as a nurse or something, but she was never even deployed. So what's her hearing loss from? Definitely not land mines in Iraq. Anyways, we were practicing these mini full body assessments, so I practiced on CJ a couple of times and he practiced on me. Then, we had to practice on a professor. There's that one student teacher or whatever named Stephanie, and she's actually really cool, but I didn't get her. I got the crazy lady. And I was the last one to go, and I was forgetting everything. Luckily she said I could look at the board at the instructions because this was just practice. Then she interrupted my practice mid-way through for some stupid skit that the fundamental lab was doing, but she made the excuse that she had to go call her son. I don't know what that was all about. So that was that class.

the instructions on the board

Then I went home because I had an assignment due tonight where I had to draw stuff on a t-shirt. So I found an old shirt in my closet and started working on that. I had to draw the heart valves and some of the regions and stuff. It really wasn't too bad.

For the rest of the evening into the night, I worked on my med pass cards that we had to have done for Friday. My mom tried helping, too, she was trying to look up everything in the book. And I worked on those from about 6-10 I think. I really should have studied for my actual pharmacology exam tomorrow, but I didn't. I watched some Always Sunny and studied one Quizlet for tomorrow and went to bed.

So today was pretty boring, I just went to class and was home for the rest of the day. But I honestly kind of liked making the shirt, it felt like arts and crafts. I haven't made a craft in years. Still a 3/10 day because it was boring.

10/21/25

I woke up a little after 11 PM today. There was an assessment review thing today at 11, so I missed that. It was optional, but probably would have helped me. I got a shower, made a coffee, microwaved the coffee because I wanted it hot, forgot about it in the microwave, and left at 1 for pathophysiology. I only realized I left the coffee in the microwave when I was in class. So sad, it was going to be such a perfect coffee.

Class was boring, I just wrote blog posts. We talked about pain and stress and stuff. We had the quizzes and that was that. I was researching some during class and I think I may have had some derealization yesterday. Today I felt a little more grounded than yesterday, though. But derealization is some scary stuff. It's a mental health condition where you feel distant from the world and it can be caused by a lot of stuff, but lack of sleep and THC usage are two causes that would make sense for me. Some people spend years in that state. Luckily I'm already feeling better.

Anyways, after class I went to Dairy Queen to eat because I had a gift card in my car for there. So that was good, I got the $7 meal deal, so three chicken tenders, fries, a Coke, and a hot fudge sundae. I ate in a parking lot next to this building with a green striped awning, and I listened to some old country songs like Don't Let Me Down, Little Green Apples, and Love Hurts. It was a good time.

Then I went to Dollar General and got a Lego Minifigure. I may or may not have paid. Well, I did pay, but for a bag of gummy worms. Those minifigures are so outdated they should just be giving them away. I was going to go vacuum my car out at one of those car washes, but there were workers watching like hawks, so I didn't.

I left and sat in a parking lot behind that one jersey cow farm listening to music again. My mom called asking if I want food from town, but she forgot I had work. It was still nice to know she was thinking of me, just knowing that I'm being thought about is nice. Then I sat in the gravel staff parking lot to change and it was just a good feeling day, so I took a picture.

I went to work at 6:30, and it was really busy at first. I couldn't even go in the break room until two hours into my shift. There were people going to CT scan, lots of people from ER, the first person I moved was coming from ultrasound, all sorts of stuff. One person from ER said I was their favorite transporter, that felt nice to know. That's the second person who's told me that. I had to move someone from med tele to CPC without it being put into Epic. I always rather it be put into Epic so that it shows all the people I've moved and I can feel proud of it. But I'll just know in my head that I did it. And that was about it at work.

I went home and watched the new Slushy Noobz Wii video and just kinda relaxed. Then I tried watching Twin Peaks because everyone says it's such a good show, but I could not get into it. It took me like, three hours to watch the first episode because I kept pausing it and getting bored. So I was up until about 3:30 AM.

So a pretty average day again. 4/10.

10/20/25

Today we were supposed to have an exam, so I woke up at 6 am. I went to bed at 3 or 4 am, I don't remember, but it was late. So I was tired. I laid in bed until around 6:40 and then I got up and got ready. My dad was still in bed, but when other people are up, he has to be up for some reason, so he got up when he heard me. Then he got bundled up like it was actually -30 degrees outside, that pissed me off. And then when I was about to leave, he wanted me to test the thermostat while he was at the wood stove, so I tried doing that. So he's already trying to heat the house up. This is the first day that it won't be warmer than 70 degrees, but he's taking this a little far.

So I was really stressed about this exam, I really didn't study at all last night and I didn't feel like studying this morning either. I was just so tired. I also had a sore throat that I felt a bit yesterday, but was definitely worse today. But I went to the library anyway and tried studying looking through a Quizlet, and I was there for a couple of hours.

I felt like I learned nothing, but I went to class anyways, and here they told us that we weren't even going to have the exam. The reason was because Canvas was down. Actually a lot of websites were down today, something with Amazon Web Services. So we didn't have the exam and we lectured for three hours. Mrs. Stinnett passed out paper copies of the slideshows. It felt like we were back in 2002 or something. I still couldn't really focus, so I mainly just caught up on blog posts.

When that class got out, I was going to go home, but I was a little hungry, so I texted Janell and she didn't answer, so I went to Towers by myself. I had some slips that they forgot to take from me before, so I used one of those to get some pizza. Towers pizza is not great, but it's what I was craving. So I ate that by myself, watched some of the new Out of Character episode from yesterday where they are dressed as Benson Boone and Isaac, and left. Before I left, I saw Adi from Tri Sigma I guess, so I said hey to her and talked for a bit.

After I left Towers, I went home, and I don't know what was wrong with me today. I don't know if it's because I only slept for three hours, or maybe I'm still drowsy from everything on Saturday, but I just felt kind of like a zombie today. So I got home and tried going to sleep, and right as I was falling asleep, my dad woke me up saying that he was leaving or something. So then I was up again. I sat outside some and that made me really want to lay in a hammock, so I tried finding our hammock, and I found it, but I couldn't find the straps for it. So I just laid on the ground instead. The hammock would've been nice though. Then I made some Hamburger Helper enchilada and that was good. It was weird, I was home all this time and my mom or dad wasn't here, usually by 6 pm or whatever, they'd both be here. Then I started watching Always Sunny and almost fell asleep again, until my mom called me. So that woke me up again and she was asking if I needed anything from town. I said no and I think I did end up sleeping for a bit.

My parents got home and my mom is still into the McDonald's Monopoly thing so the first thing she did was redeem the codes on my phone, and to her dismay, she didn't win anything. How sad. The rest of the day I didn't do much. Just watched more Always Sunny and played Club Penguin.

And I think that was my whole day. Really not great. 3/10.

10/18/25

Homecoming was today, so you already know it was a busy day. I woke up at home at about 8:30 am, and my parents were also up, because they were planning to go to the parade this morning, too. The parade was supposed to be at 9:30, and my sister was going to be in it with Tri Delta, so that's why my parents were going. My mom left early because she was meeting June and Pam I think. My dad was on the edge of going, but he decided to when he heard George was gonna be there, but that meant he would ride with me, since my mom already left. So I got ready and decided to wear pants and a hoodie, which was definitely a choice. Luckily I brought a pair of shorts, because I was going to need those later. I also got all my drinks situated and brought out to my car before my dad could see them. I had six beers, two Mike's lemonades, 5 whiskey/Fireball shots, and my bottle with some vodka in it, so I was pretty ready. Then once we were ready, we left.

My dad was going crazy about my speed as we were driving there, probably because he's used to going about ten under and I was going ten over. And he's always talking about respecting the neighbors by going slow by their house. But it's 9 in the morning and they are no where to be seen, I think they'll be fine. But we got there and I dropped him off on North Pacific and then I had to go park on Normal because there was no parking anywhere closer. It was a pretty long walk over there, and it was already hot out, so I was starting to sweat and feel uncomfortable. On the way of me trying to find the TKE tent, I ran into Haley, from the Finland trip, which was the last person I expected to run into. She was with her dog and boyfriend, so I talked to her for a bit. I found the TKE tent eventually and crossed the street when the parade slowed down to get over there. The parade was going the whole time I was walking over there, so I missed some of it, but I did see the Tri Delta trailer and heard their little chants, but I didn't see Janell, she must've been on the other side. But I got over to the tekes and said hey, and I took off my hoodie and stuff.

After the parade was over, we all kind of migrated back to our tent. Our spot was located in a different place than last year, it was more in front of the stadium, next to Pagliai's Pizza. I started drinking at a little before 10 am, so pretty early. There were quite a few people there, and probably half of them I didn't recognize. Most of the people I didn't know were alumni, but there were also parents and other random people there. There were several really old tekes there, like one guy who graduated in 1977. But they were cool, I talked to them some. That one guy used to work at a pharmaceutical factory in St. Louis. Indian Nathan was really talking to those guys for some reason. Marquis, a new guy who's been coming to some events, was also there and I got to talk to him for the first time, he was cool. Then they also had food there, Romell's parents were there and they made Cajun food. There was jambalaya and fried chicken and it was actually so good. I invited my parents to come eat, but apparently they were already home. And there were some really good cookies. Simon also offered me some weed, and I actually took a hit. I haven't had any since the incident back in August, but today I figured it'd be fine.

I left the TKE tailgate area a little after 11 and went over to the normal tailgate on Bellevue. It was actually super busy there, way more people than I thought there'd be. At some point I changed into my shorts in a porta potty and tried taking a swig of vodka, but I could not deal with the vodka today, so that was a no-go. I almost vomited. Over here, I saw a few people I knew, the first was Janell. I just talked to her for a second, she was in front of a Sig Ep house with her friends. Then once I left her, I  ran into my cousin, Kyle. He was with Keera, his girlfriend, and I did not expect to see him here at all. That was kind of weird with him, because I couldn't tell if he was drinking or not, but then he said he was, and I showed him my stash in my backpack. He said he likes Fireball, so I offered him a Fireball shot, but he declined. But then Ellie Bigono and one of her friends were near us, and they wanted the shot, so I gave it to them. Then we were a little group for a bit, that was very odd. Then Kyle and Keera left and I was with the other two girls for a bit. We ran into Olivia and she was with her boyfriend and her friend from California, Gabby, and that was a very weird encounter. I was quizzing Gabby on my name for some reason. We didn't talk to them for too long, and I went with Ellie back to some other Tri Sigmas, and Paige was over there, and that's when I learned that Paige was going to join Tri Sigma. That also really surprised me, today was full of surprises I guess. I talked to Paige for a long while, we got to talking about Fountains of Wayne and Hackensack for some reason. I also drank out of several people's borgs at this point, as an update to my level of consciousness. I didn't really know some of the people I was talking to, I know I talked to that one girl who works at Sam's Club for a bit. Then I ran into the other Ellie, the one with curly hair. And she was messed up, and she got me pretty messed up. I had some sips from her and her friend's borgs and also some hits from her cart. It was very weird. Then Matt Sansone and Indian Nathan appeared out of nowhere and I went with them to get out of that situation.

I went back to the other TKE tailgate for a bit and then ended up back at 333. I think at this point, I was high. I really haven't been this kind of high before, normally it's just a buzz kind of feeling, but I actually felt high here. I was sitting on the porch of 333 just staring at the tree across the street and the branches blowing in the wind. And I was like, mesmerized by it. After a while of me doing that, Grant showed up and said he was going to let Presley's cat out of her room, so I went with him over to 343 to do that with him. I didn't realize Presley had a cat, it must've been new. And it was more like a kitten, very small. So we were over there petting the cats for a while. Then I went back to 333 and passed out on the couch.

When I woke up, there were lots of people asleep in the living room. Like at least four people. So that was weird. I went outside for a bit, walked around some, and then went outside on the porch to sit. Khole's parents were out there and they were actually going crazy. I'm so glad my parents aren't like that. I mean, they're probably in their 40s, but they want to be young so bad. I have no idea was Khole's dad was talking about. He was saying he's gonna fight anyone that doesn't pay their dues, he really liked my crappie shirt I was wearing and wanted to jersey swap (I said I don't think so), he was asking everyone for a beer or Zyns, he was just crazy. It was also around this time that I realized the Six Flags pin on my backpack was missing, and that actually made me really sad. That's the pin my mom surprised me with for my birthday this year. So I tried retracing my steps, but it was no use. I'd went and put my hoodie and pants in my car earlier, so I went back to my car, looking at the ground the whole way hoping to see it. But it was gone. I checked the couch I slept on and the couch on the porch. So sad. It started to rain about the time it got dark, so I went back out to my car because I thought I might've left my windows cracked, but they weren't. Then I also moved my car back to 333 because the parking lot had some spots now. And I haven't had a drink since noon and it was now about 6 pm. Then, I was really wanting something to eat. I hadn't eaten since the jambalaya this morning, so I texted Janell to see if she could get me something, and she said she could pick me up.

So she did pick me up, and she was with some of her friends. They drove us to Towers, and I got some sushi from Rowdy's. She got a drink or something. Gabby came in with us, and we got to talking about cartwheels, so I did one. Then on the way back, I accidentally said I saw their "stupid float" in the parade, and they went crazy over that because they were like, "We had the same float!" But what I really meant was that I heard their stupid chant. Hopefully they didn't take too much offense.

They dropped me back off at 333 and I ate my sushi. Some people were cleaning the basement, including Khole's mom, so I joined in with that once I ate. I was the guy with the dustpan. Then some people started showing up at 333 because the pregame was supposed to be here at 8 pm. We started out on the porch, some Tri Deltas came over. A couple of them were dancing in the rain and Mason joined them. Then more people showed up and they moved it to the basement. Janell showed up at one point and she didn't like that I was talking to her. There really weren't many tekes in the basement, mainly deltas and sig eps. But we weren't there for too long before we migrated to the actual party.

I wasn't at the Sig Ep party for too long, maybe an hour or so. It was kind of weird there, I felt like I didn't belong, even though it was a joint party. Mason was really dancing, Scott was there an he was trying to dance, there were guys up by the DJ being corny, I was kind of just standing around. I saw Keely there so I talked to her, which the other guys later got onto me for (because I rejected her), but I didn't know who else to talk to. I also saw Olivia there so I talked to her for a second. I had several beers while I was there because they drink out of the hole at their parties and I put $25 into it. Janell was also here and she was mad that I kept talking to her.

Then I ended up back at 333 and it was weird over there. Shaylea, that one girl I've seen a few times, was there with her friends, so I talked to her some. They were on the porch wanting to come in, I guess, and Scott was there being the bouncer of 333 for some reason, but then he started flirting with them? He was like, "I can't let you in darlin." It was the oddest thing, 1920s ahh flirting. And they asked him how old he is and why they can't come in, and he was like, "I can't tell you that." But eventually, we both went outside with them, and him and Lauren were going crazy. He sat down and pulled Lauren onto his lap, they were getting touchy, it was so weird. And Shaylea and I were just sitting next to them like, whaaat. But they eventually left, and there were some other people at 333 inside. I think they were Zach's friends. They started playing hot potato or something with a football and I didn't like the music they were playing, so I put on Stevie Wonder. This is definitely something I would only do while drunk. What made me put Stevie Wonder on? We'll never know. But yeah, it was Zach, Quentin Collins, me, Scott, and like, four of Zach's friends. I started talking to this one girl who apparently was a fling with Jafar. Supposedly. But she was nice, we talked for a while, her name was Jalyn. At one point, we went outside and she asked to hold hands, so we did, and then Nyk saw us because he was out there for some reason, and he was definitely stone-cold sober, because he's a good little boy now. And he was like, why are you touching her when you know she's been with Jafar. And I'm like, damn, I'm just taking her out here because all her friends are out here. Nyk has low-key been pissing me off lately. Zach's friends were smoking a joint outside, and I was stupid and took a hit, and that got me really coughing because those always do. Arleth, one of Zach's friends, was kind of laughing at me. But she was nice, I talked to her some there, too. Then they all left and these weird people who were DJing at Hypno came over and they ended up sleeping at the house. And I also slept at the house. And Scott. And Simon. It was very weird.

And that was the day. Honestly, it could have been better, it was a really weird day. So probably a 7/10.

10/17/25

I'll go through this day quick because I don't think too much happened. I woke up around 10:30 I think, and didn't do much this morning. We had the day off from classes, I guess for the inauguration of the new SEMO president. If you ask me, that does not call for a day off, but I wasn't complaining. That morning I finally took the rubber thing under my bumper off of my car, because it's been dragging the ground for this whole week. I also cleaned my car out a bit finally.

Janell was feeling sick all day today, so she stayed in bed forever, basically all day. At 1 pm or so, my dad came in, and he was holding something that I never thought I was going to get - my 3 month gift from the Slushy Noobz Patreon. At this point, I have been subscribed for five months, so I never thought I was getting this, but here it was. I got my stickers, now I have to find a spot to put them.

For the rest of the day, I don't even know what I did. I don't remember. I know my mom got home and made this baked chicken bacon ranch pasta, my dad had me help him on the roof at night, Janell was feeling better and got into an argument with my dad, and I played Club Penguin. Then, Janell went back to her dorm. That was about it.

So today I was at home all day and it was kind of boring. 4/10.

10/16/25

I don't remember much of what happened today because I'm writing this a few days late, so this'll probably be quick.

I actually woke up really late, which was not my plan. I was planning to wake up by at least 11 am, clean my car out, get rid of the rubber part under my bumper that's been dragging the ground for the past few days, and then study because supposedly there was a quiz today in pharmacology. But I woke up at 2 pm because my mom called me, so thanks mom. I may have slept through it if not for her.

So I tried studying a Quizlet on the drive over there, which was kind of hard. And it turns out it wasn't even a real quiz. We sat through the whole class and then at the end, she revealed that we were playing a Family Feud type of game. So the class split in half and the two sides would send people up to the board to write answers. I did the last round with Yeabsira. So everyone got points for that, which I was happy with.

After class I got a five-dollar McDouble meal from McDonald's, so that was good. I sat in that staff hospital gravel lot for a bit listening to music and eating that.

Then I went to work at 6:30, and it was a pretty busy day. There was already a request when I logged in, so I was about to go get that, but ER brought them up right as I was going down there. So my next one was surg to CT, and when I went up there, I found Mariel standing outside that guy's room. So I said hey to her, then took him and got that done. He was nice, he was telling me about how awful his NG tube was. I had several more requests. One guy went from the ER to med tele, and he was the former county coroner of Perry county, and I think my dad knew his son. But he was nice, I talked to him quite a bit. I had another different ER to med tele with this woman whose IV infiltrated, so she was in some pain, saying that it burns and wanting me to take her IV out, even though ER already took it out before we left. But ER actually acted really grateful for me today, so that was nice. I don't mind doing ER when they thank me. So today was busy, but I still completed one of my HESI EAQ things, so I had some free time, too.

After work I went home and Janell was there, so I talked to her. I practiced my NG tube insertion on her, even though I needed to practice my ones for check-offs. Then we watched the first episode of American Horror Story, which was definitely something.

And that was the day, it was kind of good, maybe a 6/10?

10/15/25

Today was a full day of pomping. I woke up at 7 am at nana's and started getting ready. At about 7:20 or so, I heard the workers get here, Stephan and Buick. I was really hoping they wouldn't get here until 8 or so, but nope. Now I'd have to get past them. So I got ready and waited for an opportunity to go down there, but it was so awkward, because Stephan was getting chewed out from Buick. Buick was really laying it down on him, telling him all the stuff he did wrong yesterday or whatever. But eventually I just went down and Buick made Stephan move some lumber in front of my door because I couldn't get out. Then Buick started talking about how we were both wearing Crocs and how comfortable they are, and finally I was able to leave.

So it was a little before 8 am when I left, and I decided to go to McDonald's first and use another Monopoly free item, so I got a sausage and egg biscuit with no cheese, because adding cheese wouldn't make it free. So I got that and drove to Capaha Park to eat it, and it was really good.

Then I went to go pomp, and it was a little after 8:15 now. So I go in there, I'm the only person there, and there aren't any lights on. So I turned the lights on and got to pomping. Someone came down and started doing their laundry while I was doing this. Then I started working on this colostomy case study that I had to have done before my open lab at 11:00 today. So I got that done and I then started watching the new Patreon Slushy Noobz vlog. Two other girls also showed up at some time, too, so at least I wasn't alone. But we were all working in silence, which was fine with me. And that was the first part of me pomping today, I was doing it from 8:20 to 10:45. So that was several hours done.

Then I went to my open lab at 11. Normally we'd have assessment clinical today, but since we don't have class on Friday, they changed all of this around. I saw Indian Nathan on my way to class, which was kind of weird because I just texted him that I wouldn't be able to go to the Baptist Center community service event because of my class time change. At open lab, my partner wasn't there for the first hour, and we had videos that we had to record today. So I did my NG tube video by myself, and eventually she showed up and we got the mobility and transfer video and the enema and bedpan video done. At least Paige offered to do the videos with me if Adriana didn't show up. So we did that, I think the videos ended up pretty good, don't think we missed much, and that was that.

I left a little before 2 pm and went back to pomp. I don't remember who was there when I first got there, but there were a lot more people there now. I was the only guy there for a long while at one point, but I was just listening to music and sitting at the table rolling tissue paper, so it wasn't bad. Then other guys showed up, I think Jafar, Khole, and KT were there. And a couple of Sig Ep guys were there for a bit. But I was here from 2-6 pm. So four whole hours. Then I left because we were supposed to have a philanthropy meeting and everyone else had left because Tri Delta had their chapter.

So I walked over to 333 at 6 and the door was locked. Then Indian Nathan showed up again and said he was going to play basketball with Asian Nathan. He had me join the Boy Scout popcorn thing because apparently we're going to start selling popcorn to get more money for the chapter. And then he left. So I was still locked out, but then Larik started climbing out the bathroom window for some reason, but I was walking back to my car at this point and did not want to confront him. So I don't know what that was about, but as I was walking back to the house, Larik was locked out now, so he had them let us in. Ryker, Matt, and Whitlow were there in the living room so I said hey to them. Khole got there soon and then he said we actually couldn't have the meeting because we needed Eddy and Grant here. So there was no philanthropy meeting. Matt and Khole were going back to pomp, but I needed a break.

So I went to HealthPoint instead and got a little workout in. I really need to get back into working out. I went last week, too, so once a week is better than none. But I need to do at least three days a week.

So I was there for an hour or so, and then I went back to pomp, once again. Janell was down there, she was there earlier, and she was like, "You're back again!" So yeah, I was really grinding it out. Several other tekes eventually showed up, Jafar was back, Matt, Scott, Khole, Mason, Eddy, Whitlow, Grant was there for a bit, and Romell. Owen showed up with sunglasses on and some beers in his hands, which was odd. Some of the girls made fun of him for wearing sunglasses inside, which was kind of funny because he thought he was so cool. When Janell was leaving, Owen was still going on about how I never introduced her, so I did that. Scott then really started talking to her, mainly about our last name's origin. Windeknecht actually means "wind servant" or "worker of the wind" but he was saying it meant "wind knight" and we never corrected him. But he was going crazy. Then Janell told them my old nickname was Smiley, so that's embarrassing. So they left and we were there until past 10 o'clock, and at that point, it was basically only tekes there. I sat by myself on the floor for a bit to roll paper and Mason was like, "Get back up here at the table, why are you by yourself?!" Like damn, can I not sit by myself for a bit. So I left pretty soon after that, at around 10:45. I did a bit of an Irish goodbye, I love doing those.

I went home and everyone was asleep, so I went to bed pretty early too I think. I did make Great Value mac and cheese and watch the new Silent Hill Slushy Noobz video. And that was that. A full day of pomping basically. 5/10.
