10/28/22

Today was finally Friday and I was already planning for today to be very fun. I didn't have work because Eli and I were planning to go to Raising Cane's over the weekend with some other people. So I'd asked off for the weekend like, 2 months. Tonight was also the Halloween dance, which I was kind of skeptical about.

I don't remember anything that happened at school except that I fell asleep in Chemistry and Dalton and Jesse took pictures of me to post in the cross country GroupMe. I also bought my Halloween dance ticket at lunch for a whopping 8 dollars. The school day actually really sucked for a Friday. It just wasn't fun at all.

After school I needed to come up with a Halloween costume quickly because I still didn't really know what I wanted to be for the dance. I didn't want to be a hockey player like yesterday because that'd be too boring. I went to Walmart in Jackson first. I was in there for over 30 minutes looking for stuff. I originally had the idea to be a mummy and just wrap myself in toilet paper so I ended up getting 4 rolls of toilet paper for only 97 cents, which I thought was a pretty good deal. I also snuck a Pokémon card pack through the self checkout because I don't even know why. It was not worth the risk but I guess I just didn't want to spend 5 bucks for 10 pieces of paper.

Then I went to Teen Challenge in Jackson to look for more things to dress as. I opened the pack of cards in the parking lot and didn't get anything. So if you think about it I was really just helping to rid the world of regular rares. Anyways, I was in Teen Challenge for a long time, too, and didn't even end up buying anything. I was really looking at the suits because they are so cheap in there. A suit jacket and the matching pants for only 10 bucks is a great deal. I was also looking at the ties, but none really stuck out that much. So I left there.

After I left I had the idea to dress as Ron Burgundy from The Anchorman. So I drove to Cape to go to Teen Challenge there to see if there was anything different there. That Teen Challenge is a lot worse than Jackson's. Their suits were way more expensive and they didn't have any red suits for me to be Ron anyways. So I drove home with just my rolls of toilet paper.

When I got home I went upstairs and took a nap. I woke up at around 6, so the dance was in an hour. My mom kept asking what I was going as so I told her a mummy and I don't think she liked the idea. She wanted me to go as a farmer and where my overalls, which wouldn't have been bad, but I was already stuck on my mummy idea. For some reason my mom was really into helping me get ready. First of all, she didn't like my toilet paper idea and wanted me to tear white cloth into strips to wrap around me instead. That sounded like a whole lot more work than my idea so I shut that down. Then she wanted to help wrap me in the toilet paper, so I let her. I spun around while she held the roll of toilet paper and I didn't really like how it was turning out. It was really tight around me. Then my dad walked in and was obsessed with making jokes about poop because I was wearing toilet paper. Eventually I was all wrapped up. My mom and dad also wanted to wrap my head but I though that would be too much. My mom also kept trying to stop me from walking because the paper kept ripping, but I literally had to walk to leave the house. I don't know why they were so fired up, but at least I know they care.

So I left to go to the dance. I was kind of nervous because I thought my outfit looked terrible. When I got to the dance it was around 7:25 and Zach and Bryce were outside of their cars in the parking lot and not inside for some reason. I got out and they actually liked my outfit. Zach was Bling Bling Boy from Johnny Test, which I thought was actually a good costume and Bryce was nothing, because Bryce is boring. They heard a cat while we were outside so we went out in the field to find it but it jumped into a drainage hole. Eli wasn't here yet because he was with Wes, Camryn, Kennady, Madeline, Colton, and Aiden at a preparty I guess. I thought it was weird how he was with Colton and Aiden and them who I actually knew and he didn't, but nothing I can do about that.

Zach, Bryce, and I went inside after the cat disappeared down the hole. Everyone acted like they really liked my outfit and Mrs. Moore was really urging me to join the homemade outfit contest. Eli and them showed up shortly after we got there, so we joined their group on the dancefloor. I actually really tried to dance tonight and it was fun even though I'm terrible at dancing. Poor Bryce didn't even try to dance and just stood behind Zach and me on the dance floor doing nothing the whole time. After a few songs played, it was time for the costume contest.

I sat next to Zach and Bryce on a bench to watch everyone. I'll try and name people and the costumes. Eli and all of their group went as the cast of Phineas and Ferb. Their costumes were honestly kind of lackluster. Jack and Bri went as Elvis and Priscilla, a bunch of the "cool" girls went as the hole diggers from the movie Holes, Myra and Maddie Jo went as Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan, Emma Rivers went as Zelda, and that one freshman who plays percussion in band who's really weird went as the Mad Hatter, but she was really into the role and was acting like she was cosplaying or something. I don't really remember anyone elses.

10/29/22

Okay, so I was reading through my blog for once because I'm at SEMO and bored, and I realized I posted this day but never ended up writing it, AND I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO READING IT. So I'm gonna try and remember this day.

I really don't remember this day at all. Today was the day I was going to go to Raising Canes with Eli, Wes, Bryce, and Zach. I guess I just showed up at Eli's house that morning because I'm pretty sure I didn't spend the night. But then again, I may have spent the night. There was that one time when it was that same group of people and we watched Negative Whiplash on Eli's TV because he forced us to, and I slept on that weird couch in his basement. That may've been this time.

I think we left at 11:00 and we did this thing where we rotated between who picked music. I wish I remembered what everyone picked, but I remember Bryce kept skipping because he's boring and I remember picking an Alan Parson's Project song because I was into them at this point. We also kept up the tradition of yelling "Festus" when we drove by it and listening to the kid's albums of They Might be Giants when we were almost there. Also for some reason, everyone was in a bit of a bad mood. Wes especially. But I wasn't, of course.

We finally got there and ordered our stuff. Of course it was delicious. Cane's is actually awesome. I got the four piece.

That is honestly all I remember of this day. This is why I need to write this stuff. I don't remember anything :(

But this was a good day. 7/10.

10/31/22

Today is Monday and I did not want to get up this morning. It's also Halloween, but I probably won't do anything fun. I was up until after 3 o'clock last night and didn't get up this morning until 7:20. I had a Reese's Puff cereal bar for breakfast along with a Mountain Dew.

At school we had a boring chapel and then I went to Christian Response. Luckily Mr. Simpson didn't call on me or anything the whole hour. We just did notes over sex and stuff.

In Chemistry we are doing chemical naming and I have no idea what is going on. I know we have a test tomorrow. He's also doing an extra credit thing after school I might go to.

Next was Law in Action. When I was walking to the class, something smelled really good in the hallway. Apparently it's a food day in a Spanish class and it was a casserole or something, but everyone in Law in Action were talking about how bad it smelled. We did notes over more kinds of crimes in that class. Mrs. Roth asked me if I liked the Student Council post she made about me and I told her it made me feel special.

For lunch I had a Caesar salad because I didn't want hamburger mac. We sat in a different place today because the drama stuff is set up in our usual spot. I had to sit next to Joe who was talking about how drunk he got at a party over the weekend. Then he had me throw away his tray for him. I'm so nice.

In Health we did an M&M experiment thing about STDs where we traded them to each other.

I don't remember the rest of the day, but Janell apparently went trick or treating with Addi, so she had more fun than me.

5/10.

10/30/22

I feel like today was a very unproductive day. I set alarms to get up around 9 or 10 but I guess I slept through them because I woke up after 12. I hate waking up that late because it feels like I wasted half the day doing nothing.

For some reason Papa came to our house so I talked to him. Then after he left, Jennifer showed up for some reason as well, so I talked to her. My mom was bragging about my costume that one.

After they left I played some Red Dead Redemption 2 and didn't do much else interesting until around 5 o'clock.

For supper we had turkey, stuffing, corn, and gravy. It felt like an early Thanksgiving. I literally love stuffing. At supper we got stuck talking about guns somehow and my dad and I decided we were going to go kill some of the armadillos that are up in the fields across from our house. There have been a lot of them over there for some reason.

So we took three 22. rifles and took the Mule up there. We found one almost instantly and we both shot at it but I gave the finishing blow. Next we went up into the woods and looked around. Apparently John Jordan had put up a deer stand my dad wanted to see. While we were in the woods we were looking for squirrels to shoot. As we were leaving we saw one and both shot at it. One of us hit it (probably my dad) and we put it in the back of the Mule. When we came out of the woods and into the field, there was another armadillo that we snuck up on and my dad killed. Then we went back to the house.

I'd say that was a pretty successful trip. My dad and I decided to skin the squirrel, but we found out it had a weird tumor and I think there was puss coming out of it so he threw it in the wood stove.

After my shower I started watching The Birdcage because I'd heard it was a funny movie, but it was really boring so I switched to The Office because I hadn't watched it in a while. Then I spent the next 4 hours doing nothing but trying to fall asleep. It was probably after 3 when I fell asleep.

Today was alright towards the end of the day. 6/10.

10/27/22

Today I also don't really remember what happened at school. I remember I packed my work clothes because I didn't know if I had to cover Raeghan's shift or not because yesterday Taylor said she needed someone to.

I know lunch today was Popeye's because it was a restaurant day. So lunch was good. After lunch we had a test in Health class. I thought it went alright, but I ended up getting a 43/48 while Janell got a 46/48. One of these days I'm gonna beat her, but for now I guess she's just better.

After school I went home because Raeghan never texted me or released her shift so I guess she ended up being available. Janell and I ended up decided to go to the volleyball game at 6 because it was a sectional or something and a lot of people were going. The theme was Halloween costume so I wore my Blues jersey and Blues pajama pants and said I was a hockey player. Janell wore fairy wings so I guess she was a fairy.

The game was not that fun. I stood up next to the freshmen at first because I forgot we were supposed to be segregated at these things. Apparently seniors are supposed to stand at the bottom of the bleachers. Eventually Eli and Wesley showed up so I stood down at the bottom with them. Here is where it was awkward because I had to stand next to Janell because they were next to her. Also Eli and Wesley were talking to each other and kind of leaving me out, so that was not fun. So I kind of just stood there until the game was over. We apparently beat them. I didn't even realize the game was over until everyone ran down onto the court because the game went so fast. I don't know how volleyball scoring works. It was awkward down on the court too because I didn't know what to do.

We ended up leaving when Janell was finally ready. Then her and Addie and Evie decided to go to Dairy Queen and I had to go to because I was with Janell. I went in at first even though I wasn't ordering anything because I didn't really want to wait in the car. I talked to Ian Roth's parents some because they were also in there. Janell and her friends sat down and I had to awkwardly sit with them. Then a bunch of other Saxony people came in and Janell's friends were acting embarrassed that I was with them so I sat in the car and watched TikTok until Janell was done. She brought me back a pretzel stick so that was nice I guess.

So yeah, the game wasn't super great but at least I wasn't at home doing nothing. 5/10 I guess.

10/26/22

I remember this day a little better than the last two days because I had work today. This really shows how much school teaches me if I don't remember anything about it 5 days after.

I'm trying to remember where all I went after school before work, too. I know I went to Sam's and got pizza and a Mountain Dew Code Red. Then I think I also went to Walmart to look for a planner. Everywhere I go, planners are so expensive and I don't know why. Big notebooks will be 1 dollar but a tiny planner will be 25. It's ridiculous. Walmart didn't even have any planners so I went to Staples. I also needed a 16 gigabyte microSD card for my DS flash-cart so I was going to look for that as well. They had a nice planner in there that had a leather cover but it was too expensive. They also only had 32 gigabyte and higher SD cards, so I guess I'll have to order one.

After all of that I went to work. This was probably one of my favorite days at work ever. I don't even know why because nothing significant happened. It was just a nice day. Seth and Sara were the managers and I didn't really talk to them much, which probably helped make it a good day. Kayla, Jarod's wife, was a server tonight. She apparently used to be a manager but then quit and just recently came back as a server. She's already one of my favorite servers just because she's nice. Mckinzie was also there and she's also one of my favorites. It wasn't busy at all and it was just a chill day.

I would say today was a 7/10 just because everything went well today.

10/25/22

I still don't remember Tuesday that well because I still writing this a week prior, but I remember it a little better than Monday. I still don't remember the classes, but I know I had bowling after school.

Before bowling I went to Walmart again because I don't like showing up early to practice. Going to Walmart makes me around 15 minutes late to practice, but no one ever notices me walking in late, so it doesn't matter. At Walmart I bought a 20 dollar box of Pokémon cards. I really need to get out of my nerdy phase, but Pokémon cards are just exciting to open. They are definitely the biggest waste of money ever, though.

I averaged in bowling again, scoring between 160-180. When I got home I opened the cards and got some decent pulls. Still a waste of money, but what else am I supposed to buy. I don't want to work to just save all my money.

Today was probably a 5/10.

10/24/22

I am going to be honest, I have no idea what I did on Monday. I am writing this a week after this day because I was lazy and didn't write. School was most likely boring. I know I just went straight home after school because I didn't have anything.

I'm just going to rate this day a 4/10 because it was apparently just an unmemorable Monday.

10/23/22

Today was the day we left Branson. We packed up all of our things and left the room. Janell and I stopped for breakfast because we got up late and our parents had already eaten. I only got biscuits again. We went outside and our parents were already in the car.

We stopped at Hurt's Donuts on the way out because we always stop there, but no one was really hungry for donuts and they had a really long line, so we didn't get any. We did stop at a McDonald's in Mountain Grove because I wanted a Sausage McMuffin and Janell wanted coffee.

After that we didn't really stop anywhere until the gas station in Mountain View. This was the same gas station we'd stopped at when we were on our Saxony Band Tour, so I always like stopping here. I got a Dr. Pepper and added a ton of vanilla to it on accident so I emptied some of it out. Also my mom got the soda machine stuck so it kept spitting out soda. It was kind of funny.

We didn't stop anywhere else until we got home. Also I got a shiny Hakamo-o on the way home, so that was cool. When we got home we unloaded everything and relaxed.

I decided to go outside for a bit and ride the four-wheeler. I rode up this one path that I'd never been on up the creek, and my dad was up there, which really surprised me because, what are the chances we'd end up in the same spot. I don't think my dad liked me riding the four-wheeler up there because it wasn't our land and apparently there were cameras. He was trying to make a path up to the path with his tractor, but his box blade tipped over and all of his tools fell out, so I helped him with that. Then we walked up into the woods and he showed me our property lines. Then I rode back down through the creek and my dad got mad at me because I was probably going like 40 mph.

This day was pretty good even though we didn't do much. 7/10.

10/22/22

Today was a little more of a lazy day, but not really. We slept in later and my mom brought breakfast to us since we weren't getting up. I had biscuits with jelly and sausage links.

The first thing we did was go to the Branson Landing because my sister wanted to shop. My dad and I went to Bass Pro Shop while they went to a bunch of clothes stores. It was actually really fun hanging out with my dad and just looking at stuff. We were probably in there for over an hour until we left to go find other stuff to do.

My dad said he was kind of tired so we went to the candy store to get some energy. I've never been to a candy store without Janell because she usually forces us to go to them, but it was a nice change. We got our little bags and filled them up. I always get a variety of chocolate, sour, and gummy candy while my dad usually just gets chocolate. We also sneakily ate some candy before we paid to make our bags a bit lighter.

We sat outside a bit until meeting up with Janell and my mom outside of Rue 21. While leaving the landing, we bought some popcorn from some Cub Scouts. Then my dad went back to them once we got to our car because my sister realized one container was not enough. We left and went to Culvers to eat. I ordered chicken but got a bit too much because I had to take some as leftovers.

After Culvers we went to the Copperhead Mountain Coaster because my family loves these sort of roller coasters. It was right next to Inspiration Tower, which I went in but didn't go up into. It also took us a while to get our tickets printed out. Once we did, we waited in line forever until it was finally time to go on it. This was probably my favorite mountain coaster yet. It had really good views, was really fast, and also had Halloween decorations set up. I really liked it. Then we all had to wait through the long line again because my mom bought two-ride tickets, so we rode it again.

After we were done with that we went back to the hotel for a little while and didn't really do anything. Once we were done doing nothing, we went out to eat. I still was not that hungry from my big Culvers meal, but we went to somewhere that was really good - Florentina's. We had tried to go here before a few years ago but it's always busy. This was just a little after 4, so they weren't bad. They gave us bread and oil to eat while we waited for our food. I ordered manicotti verdi, which are big noodles with spinach and cheese in them with marinara and alfredo sauce on top. I devoured that and was absolutely stuffed afterwards.

After we got done eating, we drove to the Shepherd's Pumpkinfest, which was this little area where there was an old post office, an old barn, and an old house. They had cornhole and a sandbox that had corn instead of sand in it. My family got really into cornhole and I lost every time. It was a really nice area and everything had a nice vibe.

We eventually got onto a trailer that took us to the Shepherd of the Hills show. I had always heard a lot about this show but had never seen it. I didn't even know what it was about. We got there kind of early, so we just sat in the seats they told us to sit in. We were about to have to sit on the concrete seats because apparently my mom didn't pick the seats when she ordered the tickets. Before the show started, they had a sack race down in front of everyone, and I was peer pressured into doing it by my parents, my sister, and two of the workers. So I had to go compete in a sack race in front of everyone with a bunch of six year old's. It was embarrassing but got me out of my comfort zone, so it was probably good for me. Also before the show started, I'm about 99% sure I saw one of the freshmen from Saxony sit near us. I'd also heard her say a few days before that she was going to Branson for the weekend, so that was a sort of crazy coincidence. But I'm pretty sure she didn't see us.

The actual show was really good. It was about a little community that lived in the hills and they had some conflicts and stuff. So Guy A told Guy B this story about his daughter where she fell in love with this boy but then he had to go away because his father didn't want him with her. It turned out the daughter died from a broken heart and her lover came back to the mountains but she was already dead. They also had a son named Pete who was kind of weird. Eventually we found out the boy's father was Guy B, who everybody liked, so it was a twist in the story. Also Guy B's son was still in the mountains and kept looking out for Pete. Also there were Bald Knobbers, and mountain lions, and there was a cabin that caught on fire. It was a really cool show and I really liked it. I also got a delicious pretzel at intermission.

When that was over we walked up the hill and went back to our car to go to the hotel. At the hotel, I really wanted to go swimming even though it was like, 11 o'clock. So I went down to the pool and Janell did to. We just sat in the hot tub for like, 15 minutes. There were a bunch of little kids still down there, surprisingly. I jumped into the pool before I went up because I wanted to cool off.

Today was a very fun day. I think this will be the first day I give a 10/10.

10/21/22

Today I woke up in our hotel room and got ready with my family. My parents already went down to eat breakfast so me and Janell met them down there. I tried making a sandwich thing for breakfast, but it wasn't good. So I had some biscuits with jelly and some yogurt.

After breakfast we got in the car and drove to Silver Dollar City, which is probably my favorite place ever. We parked pretty far away from the park, but I love walking to the park, so that's okay. We got into the park and it seemed kind of crowded, so Janell and I ran off to the roller coasters before they got too busy. Luckily they weren't busy yet. We rode Powder Keg twice and I did this funny thing where I screamed like two seconds before it launched. Next we rode Outlaw Run twice, then Time Traveler, and then Wildfire. We also did Grandfather's Mansion because you just have to go through Grandfather's Mansion.

After we were done riding roller coasters Janell and I had lunch I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich that had pumpkin-infused barbeque sauce. It also came with baked beans, which were good. Janell ordered the jambalaya skillet and it was apparently not very good. It looked completely different than the picture. I used Janell's water cup to get some Dr. Pepper before we left. Call me a criminal.

After we ate we met back up with our parents at the Hospitality House because we were going to do a Marvel Cave tour. I never actually realized the tours were free. I know I did the tour a few years ago but I don't remember it all all, so I was kind of excited for it. We went through the little entryway and waited in line forever. Then, they let a bunch of people go through but stopped basically right before us. Finally we were allowed through the gate and sat in a room while a lady gave us instructions.

Then our actual tour guide showed up and he walked us outside and to the entrance of the cave. We walked down some stairs and wound up in the Cathedral Room, which is right in the main entrance. It's this huge room that was really cool and we sang happy birthday to a girl there. Then we walked down a bunch of stairs to the bottom of the room and my dad kept making noises to hear the echo, which I thought was funny, but my sister was embarrassed as always. At the bottom of the room, these people took our pictures, and I realized that being a cave photographer would be a very fun job.

We went to several other rooms in the cave including the Shoe Room, the Gulf of Doom, the Waterfall Room, and the T Room. We saw sights like the Liberty Bell stalagmite, the Sentinel column, the Mystic River, and Blondie's Throne. At the end of the tour we took a train to the top and went back into the building. Overall, I loved it and would definitely recommend it.

After the cave, I'm pretty sure we ate some more, but with our parents this time. We got ribbon fries and I got some Halloween Dip n' Dots.

After we ate, Janell and I went on the Flooded Mine with our parents before separating to go on even more rides, which we'd never really gone on before. We went on the swings, the tea cups, and this ride where you went around in little pirate ships. They looked like kiddie rides but were actually really fun. Then we did some of the other classic ones like the Barn Swing.

Eventually it actually got dark, and I don't think I'd ever been there at night before. Janell and I went on Time Traveler and Outlaw Run in the dark and it was super fun. We also sat with our parents and watched this one lady named Emmalee Flatness sing a Johnny Cash song. After that I think we left.

After Silver Dollar City, Janell wanted Taco Bell so we went there, but I wanted a McFlurry so we also went to McDonald's. I thought it would be pretty fast but the drive through line was really long, so we went in to order. It was just a big hassle. Janell also wanted fries apparently, so my dad came in to use his app, and then they didn't accept cash because there weren't even workers in there, we had to use the computer things. Then we waited in there for over thirty minutes until they finally brought out my M&M McFlurry and Janell's fries. We left and went back to the hotel.

Overall, today was obviously very good. Silver Dollar City will always be fun. 9/10.

10/20/22

Today was an interesting day because it's not a normal day of school. Today is Thursday and it's the last day of Crusader Week so the freshmen and sophomores are doing service projects, the juniors are doing job shadowing, and the seniors have to go to school to do senior things apparently.

So I got up and drove to school. I got there before 8, but most people were still waiting in their cars until they had to go in. We sat in the commons the whole time. I sat in between Caroline and Cory. There was some lady talking about SEMO and financial aid for the first part. Then I think some other people started talking. I had a donut and a Subway sandwich because they had those there. The sandwich had mayo and tomatoes on it with no cheese, so it wasn't very good. Caroline and I actually talked a lot which we don't do very much anymore. Then, Mr. Ruark went through his life rules. I remember the first 3 were: wear sunscreen, don’t smoke, and say “I love you” as much as you can. Those should be pretty easy to follow. That was really about it for the school day. We were released at around 10:30.

Eli invited me to go to Pizza Inn with him, Zach, Bryce, and Carter afterwards, so I did. It tasted a lot better than normal for some reason and I stuffed myself full. We were mainly talking about going to Costa Rica while we ate, because Bryce has a vacation home there and apparently we’re going to take our senior trip down there.

After we got done eating I left and got home at around 11:30. I should have started packing my bag as soon as I got home today because we were leaving for Branson, but I didn’t. I started packing after my sister got home from job shadowing at the vet. Eventually everyone was ready and we loaded into my mom's car.

The ride up to Branson was as fun as usual, although I like it better when it gets dark while we're driving, but it was light the whole way. Janell made us stop at Chick-fil-a right after we left, but I was still full from Pizza Inn so I didn't get anything. I fell asleep for at least an hour right after we left. We stopped at LeerJak like we always do and I got a Whatchamacallit and a Monster that Janell said was good but wasn't that good. I shiny hunted a bit on my DS but didn't get anything. I mainly just listened to jazz music and looked out my window.

We finally got to Branson and the first place we went was a ticket store because my mom needed to buy or print tickets or something. My mom and dad went in but Janell and I stayed in the car. I got bored so I walked over to this Bigfoot mini golf course and sat at a picnic table. Then Janell and I walked down the sidewalk a bit and found an abandoned craft mall, but Janell made us turn around and go back.

I got in the front seat and drove us to our hotel when my parents came back out. Branson is probably my favorite place to drive around for some reason. The hotel we were staying at was the same one we stayed at last spring when we were here. It's an alright hotel. We unloaded everything and sat in the room for a bit. My mom called the front desk to ask for a cot for Janell.

We then decided to go get supper and went to a newer place called Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. I ordered steak, red beans and rice, and fries. I didn't even really realize it, but it took over an hour for our food to come out, so our server got his manager and she gave us a discount on all of our food. So that was nice. I actually really liked that restaurant, even though my steak looked way smaller than an 8 oz. Then we drove down the strip a bit and went back to the hotel.

Overall, today was a great day. Good old 9/10.

10/19/22

I'm writing this several days after this day already happened, so I really don't remember what I did this day or many of my classes, but whatever.

I know we had a substitute for Christian response who was the new black lady from tech, but that's about it. She's the one who's kind of mean to me and today in class she just kept complaining about the 12 dollars an hour she was making today.

For band and choir we rehearsed in the gym, which was a nice change. Jack was being super annoying because he stood behind me on the risers and kept resting his hands on my shoulders.

I actually presented today in LA and I think it went pretty good. Here is the PowerPoint in question.

After school I went home for a little bit but then had to go back to Saxony for the Fall Concert tonight. Janell and I had to hurry out the door as fast as we could because my mom was really rushing us. Apparently, choir people were supposed to be there at 6:15, and we were basically leaving at 6:10. I don't think Mrs. Rivers cares about what time we get there, though.

When I got there, choir was already warming up in the band room. Janell didn't even get to warm up because she still had to change in the locker room. Jack found out I worked at Red Lobster today because I told him my shoes I were wearing were my work shoes. Then I went out and warmed up for band. The concert started and concert choir sang first next was chamber choir and we sang: "As You Serve, Remember Me", "Goodness of God", "I Will Sing Praise", and "The Journey". Then I had to go play with the band and we played: "A Hymn for Band", "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Wyndham Variations", and "Armed Forces Salute". That went pretty good as well.

After the concert, we stopped at Dairy Queen and I got some delicious chicken. Then we went home.

So it was an pretty great day and I'd rate it a 7/10.

10/18/22

Today I woke up, was cold, and didn't want to go to school. I slept in as late as I could but eventually got up. I got to my car and realized I forgot my phone again so I went back to get it. My dad also got the stick that was dragging under my car. My breakfast this morning was barbeque Pringles.

Today a lot of people were gone because they were taking the ACT at Trinity, so we didn't do much in most classes.

In Christian response, I did a two minute survey I was supposed to do yesterday, but was gone so I couldn't. The rest of the hour I played 2048 Shoot and listened to Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass.

There were only like, six people in chemistry but Mr. Gholson still made us do notes the whole hour, so that class was not fun.

In law in action, the only three people were me, Caroline, and Lily, and we only did the homework from yesterday in that class. We had to pick a Court Junkie case, listen to it, and write about it. Mine was the Corey Jones case.

My lunch was Papa John's pizza, barbeque chips, and chocolate ice cream. Everybody but Matthew Hitt and Cory were gone.

In health we just went over infectious diseases.

In band most people were still there so it was normal. In choir, Mrs. Rivers waited like, 20 minutes to start so that everyone would be there.

In LA more people presented, and I was going to, but decided not to.

After school I went to Walmart in Jackson but didn’t get anything. Then I went to bowling where I bowled two pretty good games and went home.

That was about all I did today. It was pretty average. I’d say 5/10.

10/17/22

This morning I woke up at 5:15. I tried falling back asleep for another hour, but couldn't. Also at a different time in the night, I woke up and had apparently moved really close to Zach because I was right next to him. The night was kind of cold but my sleeping bag was cozy. Anyways, I went inside the school to go to the bathroom and then decided to go get breakfast. I drove all the way to McDonald's in Jackson at 6:20 while most people were still sleeping, got a Sausage McMuffin, and got back to Saxony at around 6:40.

There wasn't really a sunrise to watch, the sun kind of just appeared at around 6:50. I changed out of my pajamas and crocs in the locker room and my 6:45 alarm went off while I was changing, so that was embarrassing. I tried helping Zach take down his tent, but he did most of it himself. It was a weird transition from camping to going to school, but I went inside and finished my Christian Response PowerPoint. Then school actually started.

I went to homeroom and chapel, where Mrs. Adams had us dance to This Little Light of Mine and If You're Happy and You Know It. I hate her chapels so much. After that I went to the commons because I was going to SEMO to go to a college fair.

I didn't even know what this thing was, I just signed up for it because my mom asked if I was going, so I was like, why not. We took the bus and I had to sit next to Drew Hahs on the way there. The fair was at the Show Me Center and there were a lot of other schools there. I think there were at least 70 colleges there. They all had little stands set up where you could talk to representatives. I mainly hung out with Luke, who's this junior I didn't really know that well. We walked around visiting the different stands and finding out what colleges did what. They could also scan a code on our phone if we were interested in them and I was nervous my phone would die because I couldn't charge it last night. I also saw Soren and his mom there but I didn't talk to him because that would probably be awkward. Our school left the fair a little after 10.

When we got back it was time for lunch which was gross chicken and dumplings.

After that I went to Health  where we finished watching the girl who was talking about safe sex methods.

Band and Choir were both boring.

In Language, people started doing their PowerPoint presentations, but I didn't so it's not important.

After school I went home and didn't do much. My mom picked up Subway and I ate that and then fell asleep for a few hours. I woke up and went over odds shiny hunting Cubone and still didn't get it. Then, I went to bed for real.

Today was pretty good. I'd give it a 7/10.

10/16/22

Today I woke up at around 10:45 with a full night’s rest. I really didn’t do much in the morning. People were talking in the group chat because our schedules were posted. I just released all my shifts and I’ll let other people deal with those days. I should’ve been off. Also Raeghan said Rich told me not to pay the other hosts to cover me, which contradicts Sara. But I always try to ignore the group chat.

We had some Jehovah Witnesses show up at our house and my mom had to deal with them. At around 3:30 Molly, Rach, Daniel, Matthew, and Emma Molly showed up for our hay ride. This hay ride was really fun. Opal came with us again. We went through our woods and then on the road to go to the church.

At the church, Carrie, Leland, Leah, and Micah met with us. They were crazy as always and Carrie and Leland ride back to our house while Leah and Micah went on the hay ride back. We stopped at the building so they could see our new cats. Goblin was terrified of everyone.

We ended up going back through the creek with everyone but Leland and my mom - Leland because he’s a bum and is allergic to hay and my mom because she had to cook the pizzas.

The ride back to the creek was nice and I had a good talk with Carrie about my classes.

The pizzas were really good when we were done, even though they were Papa Murphy’s. Janell and I played with the kids outside until they left. Once everyone had left, I started on my homework. Then Kennady started texting me about going to the Senior Sunrise, where you camp out at school to watch the sunrise in the morning.

I wasn’t going to go to it, but then I kept thinking about it and Janell convinced me to go. I packed up what I would need and was planning to sleep in my car. I left at around 9:30. We were supposed to be there at 6. I kind of started getting nervous as I got closer to school. It actually turned out pretty good. I really had to put myself out there and force myself to be social to keep a conversation going, but it was fun. Zach was there and we went Rhodes and I got some butterscotch and Rainbow Belts. I also ended up sleeping in Zach’s tent. It was the smallest tent ever, but we both fit.

I didn’t fall asleep until after 2 because I kept tossing and turning. I saw that Karamenah took my Wednesday shift and that made me happy so I think that helped me fall asleep. Anyways, today was a fun Sunday and I felt like I had a full day. 8/10.

10/15/22

Today I woke up at 9 o’clock and did some homework. I had to go to work a morning today because Terri was moving or something.

Work actually want too bad this morning. I was working with Taylor and we with pretty well together, so everything went smoothly.

During my break, I drove to McDonald’s and used a deal on my phone and I ended up getting more food than I needed. I tried a burger from McDonald’s for the first time and it was pretty good. I sat in the Cape Bible Chapel parking lot to eat. Today was also community day on Pokémon Go, so I got some shiny Litwick. It was pretty nice.

Then, I went back to work at 4 and was working with Reese and Tristian. It all went pretty normal. I still was the closer even though I had been there all day. Typical.

I got an Oreo McFlurry on the way home and it was delicious. Then I went home and talked to my dad and Janell.

Today was alright. 5/10.

10/14/22

Today I woke up as soon as my dad walked into my room because I didn't want him to be annoying again. Today was the start of Crusader Week, and all the grades had to wear different colors, and the seniors were supposed to where black, which was boring, but whatever. I got ready, had a piece of leftover pizza, and left. Once I got to the barn where the horses used to be, I realized I forgot my phone and had to turn back around and get it. So it was already 7:30 when I left.

I got to school on time and went to homeroom. After homeroom we went to first hour instead of chapel for some reason. Also I was supposed to bring orange juice but I forgot it in my car.

We just worked on our PowerPoints in Christian Response.

In Chemistry, I don’t remember what we did, so it probably wasn’t fun.

I’m writing this on Sunday so I honestly don’t know what I did the rest of the day. All I know is that in Band I checked my phone and it said that my request off from work, which I put in over a month ago, was denied. So I was pretty distraught about that, because I was planning on being in Branson most of next week.

So at work tonight, I asked Sara about it at the end of the day and she was a little bitch about it and was like, “Oh yeah, everyone requested off that week. You either have to work or find someone to cover you.” And she told me a good way to get someone to work for me was pay  them. I was mad and had a big conversation in the group chat, so someone will hopefully be able to cover my shifts. Also, at work that night someone dumped all the carbon for the lobsters out in the girls bathroom and I had to clean it.

Today was obviously not very good. And I did turn in my orange juice after school and it was fine. But today was probably a 1/10. I’m so done with this job.

10/13/22

This morning my dad woke me up by being annoying again. He kept saying "Bronny up, up, up, Bronny up, up, up," which doesn't sound that annoying but trust me, it is. My breakfast was Ruffles chips and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch bar, which was not a good breakfast.

I got to homeroom about 4 seconds too late because even though we were running late, Janell parked in the back of the parking lot. Mrs. Landewee said they were taking bets on how many seconds late I'd be. Then she made fun of my hair for sticking up because I didn't have time to wet it down.

Christian Response was the same thing it has been. We just worked on the PowerPoints and I didn't get much done on it.

In Chemistry we reviewed beta, gamma, alpha, electron transfer, and positron things for our test tomorrow. We had to use these white boards that were really dirty, but it was better than doing notes.

In Law in Action we went over more criminal things and Mrs. Roth kept using me as the examples, so apparently I bought beer, threw a party, got my dog and beer stolen from me by Lily, and got murdered by Kennady. It was kind of fun and Kennady was mad at me because I told her she wasn't invited to the party, so she was glad she got to kill me.

Lunch was Chick-fil-a, so I got nuggets and tater tots. Zach was talking about what our favorite restaurants were for the entire lunch.

In Health I don't think much happened because I can't really remember that class.

Band and Choir were the same things they've always been.

In LA we did a review game, and everyone laughed at the way I shot the basketball again. I think it look likes that one video where someone says, "and that's the move that made Lebron cry," because that's what Ian said after I did it. After that we worked on our PowerPoints.

We did this thing 10 minutes before school got out where everyone in the school lined up and cheered on the two girls going to state for tennis. I told Caroline how embarrassing it would be to run through the tunnel thing like they had to do and I think one of the girls' moms heard me.

After school I rode with Janell to HealthPoint where she had physical therapy. I brought my 2DS to shiny hunt while I waited, but didn't actually start shiny hunting. On the way home Janell said she felt sick and threw up when we got home. My mom brought pizza home from Sam's, so I had a few pieces of that. Then I went upstairs and fell asleep until like, 8 o'clock. I woke up and figured I should do some homework, so I did some Law in Action and shiny hunted Pancham while I did it. I ended up getting Pangoro instead in less than 200 SOS calls. So that was exciting. After that I went to bed a little after 12.

Today was alright, but not great. 6/10.

10/12/22

Today my dad woke me up in the most annoying way possible, which is always the worst way to start my day. He was strumming my guitar and singing a stupid song about Bainbridge. I ate a Poptart and got out of there as fast as possible. Also, the weather this morning was great. It was kind of dark and gloomy out and it felt like it was about to rain, but it wasn't super humid, it was like 60 degrees.

In Christian Response, Erin and I now have to make a PowerPoint about boundaries in a relationship, and I had no idea what to write. I'm going to try and get Janell's help.

Chemistry was actually fun today. We were finishing Lab 6 and did experiments with Twizzlers and M&M's. We measured the length of Twizzlers for some reason, and shook cups of M&M's to try and make the M logo come off. I was really bad at that.

In Law in Action we did notes over substance abuse and did an activity about it. We had to read different passages, and I actually volunteered to read one, which I never do, so I felt pretty good about that.

Lunch was soup day, so I got potato soup. I didn't eat my grilled cheese because school grilled cheese isn't that good.

In Health we had a quiz over body systems, which I aced. I don't think we did anything else.

Band and Choir were both boring.

In Language Arts we just worked on our PowerPoints.

After school I went to Goodwill and got nothing. Then I sat in the Cracker Barrel parking lot and ate my bag of Doritos until I had to go to work.

Work was pretty boring tonight. I was training Tristian again and it was awkward again because neither of us really talked to each other. But whatever. I saw one of the old Boy Scout leaders because he came in to eat, but other than that, nothing happened.

Then I got home, ate some of my dad's chicken fries that were left over from Burger King, made some cheese bread, and went to bed.

Today was pretty average once again. 5/10.

10/11/22

Today I woke up late even though I set my alarms. My mom had made waffles, so I had one of those with syrup and whipped cream and went to school.

In Christian Response, we were still in our groups, and Erin and I got more done today than we did yesterday. It was still kind of weird.

Chemistry was boring and we only did notes.

In Law in Action, we did notes over the causes of crime. I also started looking up places along the Great River Road because I'm having the itch to go on a road trip, even though I don't know how I'll be able to with school and work.

Lunch was pulled pork and macaroni and cheese. I also had a pack of Cheez-its. It was pretty good.

We had Mrs. Wichern's daughter as our Health teacher today and we went over the organs in body systems worksheet and she was really slow at reading it. For the rest of the hour, I played 2048 Shoot.

In Band we tried playing a new song, but we sucked, so she scrapped it. Then we played the same boring songs. In Choir we sang the same songs we'd been singing. Janell left for some reason in the middle of it and I don't know why.

In Language, we are working on the autobiography PowerPoints. I really don't have many important events or people in my life so I don't think mine's very good.

After school I talked to Noah and Jonathon and drove to bowling. Mr. Drury posted the games from last week on GroupMe and I was at the top of B Team. Which means I didn't make A Team. But that was only for two games. This week, I bowled a lot better. The first game was a 179 and the second was a 154. Then after bowling, I stayed in Jackson and did a raid battle on Pokémon Go, which I'd never really done before.

I got home and my mom had made fried chicken. For the rest of the night, I didn't really do anything. I took a quick nap on accident and started watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but didn't finish it. Then I went to bed at around 12.

Today was alright. 6/10.

10/10/22

Today I did not want to go to school. This morning I woke up to my alarm and my allergies were bad and my back hurt. I wanted to stay home, but I didn't, because I'm not like that. I ate two crescent rolls with honey and left.

In Christian Response, Mr. Simpson asked if I went to any frat parties over the weekend because I told him I'd had a fun weekend. Then we had to go into groups that he assigned us to and my partner was Erin. We had to fill out a worksheet together about how we would raise our child and it was kind of awkward.

Chemistry was boring again. Apparently our three labs that we did were completion, which is good because I just put a bunch of nonsense on it. We only did notes in that class.

In Law in Action we did notes and an activities where we ranked how serious different crimes were. We also have an assessment that we have to do at home.

For lunch I had a Caesar salad and white cheddar Cheez-Its again. They're a good combo.

In Health, we finished presentations and Gabe and I had to present. I think it went pretty good.

Band and Choir were same-old same-old.

In LA we did a worksheet and now we apparently have to make a PowerPoint about our autobiographies and present them next week.

After school I had to drive Janell to physical therapy and get a haircut. For some reason, I was the only person in Amy's studio thing, but it wasn't to awkward. We talked about the bowling team, college, and my job. Then I went back to HealthPoint to pick Janell up. I waited out in my car, but I didn't want to keep it running to keep the AC on so I went in and sat in the lobby.

Then for some reason Janell wanted to go to Taco Bell again like we did last time, so even though I wanted Culvers, I went to Taco Bell. I got the 5 dollar combo which I'd never gotten. The 5 layer burrito apparently had refried beans in it which weren't very good. They were also not serving fountain drinks so they gave me a can of Pepsi. Then I asked if I could have a freeze instead because they were still serving those apparently, and the lady said yes, but then still gave me the can of Pepsi. Then I went home, watched Dahmer, got a shiny Noibat, and went to bed.

Today was pretty good and interesting and I'd rate it a 7/10.

10/9/22

Today I woke up and we went to church. The new pastor was there today and he looked like Bertram from Jessie. I think his name was Rick because my dad called him Rickar, because he was a vicar. He had a little trouble reading the passages, but he seemed nice.

When we got home, I did some of my Chemistry homework and got a shiny Fletchling from Ultra Moon. I also cleaned my room some and hung up clothes.

At 4 o'clock, we had a hayride at our house and my grandma, grandpa, Jennifer, David, and June came over. My dad set up the trailer and tractor. I would've helped out, but I know my allergies would have been bad. Also, there were supposed to be more people that came along, but all the cousins were apparently busy. My grandma stayed at our house because her hips were hurting, so it was even less. We brought Opal with us and rode up to the Reimann's. Hayrides are one of my favorite parts of fall and it was really fun. When we got back to our house at around 6, we had chili, hotdogs, and potato soup, but I only ate a chili dog. Eventually everybody left.

I was up until 2 o'clock that night because I put off the rest of my Chemistry until 12. Today was really fun and I'd give it an 8/10.

10/8/22

I'm writing this a couple days after Saturday, so I don't really remember everything. I mainly just hung around at home. I shiny hunted Smeargle in Ultra Moon and got it. I also opened the other two card packs I got and got one of the best cards I've ever gotten - a full art trainer. I don't know why I'm such a nerd. I honestly don't know what else I did on Saturday.

I went into work at 4 and had to work with Reese. He drew a building that had legs on a piece of receipt paper, and that was really all that happened. I don't remember anything from this day apparently.

I didn't get many details from today, but it was good. 6/10.

10/7/22

This morning I had to wake up thirty minutes earlier because Janell's small group was today and they needed to practice. I had a very unhealthy breakfast of chocolate Belvita and a Hershey's bar.

In Christian Response, the vicar taught the whole class and it was kind of boring, but still more interesting than when Mr. Simpson teaches.

Chemistry was also really boring and we just worked on our labs the entire time.

We did more notes in Law in Action.

My lunch was also really unhealthy. It was Culvers day, so I had a cheeseburger, cheese curds, orange sorbet, and barbeque chips.

In Health, people started presentations, but Gabe wasn't here so we didn't go. Also Janell left after lunch because apparently she had a rash that was spreading on her neck. So for the rest of Health we went over our body system charts.

Band was better today than yesterday, because I wasn't so tired. Choir was alright, too. We just reviewed all of our songs.

In Language we took our quiz over commas that I didn't study for, but it was pretty easy. Then we got more vocab words and that was it.

After school I went to Target, got nothing, went to Sam's to eat, but their café was closed, and went to Walmart and bought some Pokémon cards. I only bought them because they were on sale, but when I scanned them the normal price popped up, so I had to have a lady put in the new price.

Then I went to work. It was a Friday night, but it wasn't really busy at all. The first couple I sat was really nice and kept talking about my smile. Apparently the list of servers and their sections was wrong, and Rich made me change everything. So all the servers had to change sections. I think around 6:00, a guy named Tristian came in for orientation. I had seen him interview a few days before and knew that he was Victor's roommate. Apparently he was going to be a host and had training the same day as orientation so I had to train him today. I was not that good at it. He was mainly bussing tables, but I also went over table numbers with him and told him some of the other things we do.

I went home and opened two of the four packs and got two ultra rares from one pack. The other pack had a holo, which is better than nothing. Then I went to bed. Today wasn't too bad and I would probably give it a 6/10.

10/6/22

I woke up this morning kind of late, brushed my teeth, took a shower, got out, ate some bacon, made a Hot Pocket, and drove off to school.

In Christian Response, we had a substitute because Mr. Simpson's at a conference in Milwaukee. Our sub was Pastor Benkendorf. He also had a vicar there named Vicar Raulf. I have to say Mr. Benkendorf was a lot more fun than Mr. Simpson. The vicar kind of looked like a nerd. We just filled out a worksheet about vocation today where we ranked careers based on how much they serve God. I got all of them wrong because they were kind of trick questions. I ranked most of them a five, which I thought meant average, but they were supposed to be ten. Also, Mr. Benkendorf kept talking about my last name.

We also had a substitute in Chemistry. I don't know her name and she didn't teach us anything. She just said we had three labs due on Monday. So in that class we just worked on those, which are going to take me forever.

In Law and Action we did notes and I just played 2048 Shoot and Bowman the whole hour.

Lunch was Rosati's. I had pepperoni pizza, Doritos, and cookie cake. That lunch was not healthy at all. Lunch is kind of awkward now because I don't really talk much at lunch. I don't know why I don't, but I don't.

In Health we got snickerdoodle cookies for being the class with the highest test average. Then we went over the tests and I didn't do that good. Also, Janell had an incident at cross-country where she was wrapped up in a mat, and fell over onto her face. She stayed home today because she wasn't feeling good, but now there's a rumor that she has a concussion. So I was texting her about that this hour and now she's all stressed that there's people that know about that. Then Mrs. Birk said she saw five people playing games this hour and if they did it again they would get detention. I'm pretty sure I'm one she saw.

Band was really boring. I fell asleep for basically the whole hour and kept missing my queue. Choir was about the same as always except we got Carol of the Bells today.

In LA4 we did a comma worksheet for the first twenty minutes. Then we worked on our essays for the rest of the hour, but I'm already done so I'm writing this.

I was supposed to take Janell to a track meet in Woodland today, but since she’s home, now I have to go home. I feel like the meet would’ve been boring, but at least I’d be doing something.

I really didn’t do anything after I got home. At around 8 o’clock, Janell and I went to see the cats. My mom was at a meeting and brought Burger King with her when she got home, so that was good. I also made my homemade recipe, which is deer sausage, English muffin, cheddar cheese, and bacon, made into a sandwich and put into the air fryer.

Today was nothing out of the ordinary, but the substitute teachers were better than the normal ones. So 6/10 it is.

10/5/22

This morning, I really did not want to go to school. It was cold again in my room, probably because I had both of my windows open, both my fans on, and it was in the thirties again outside. Janell's eyes were swollen for some reason this morning and my dad thought she was going to crash her car if she drove, but she did anyway. I had a Hot Pocket this morning, which was a pretty good breakfast for me.

In Christian Response, Mr. Simpson was really going at me for falling asleep yesterday. I don't know why he didn't say anything about it yesterday, but whatever. We finished the video we started watching yesterday, and that was all we did in that class.

Chemistry was boring because the only thing we did were notes again. Chemistry is really only interesting when we do labs and when Holt talks.

In Law in Action, we only did notes, but at least notes are fun in that class.

Lunch was not good. It was chicken patty on bun, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. I ate about four pieces of broccoli with ranch and three bites of the chicken patty with some barbeque sauce. I'd never actually eaten the school's chicken patty before, but it was bad. It was dry and had no flavor. I used to tolerate the mashed potatoes, but within the past year, something changed and now I hate instant potatoes.

In Health, we are supposed to be working on the body system organs chart again, but I finished mine yesterday, so I'm writing this and playing Idle Breakout. Jesse's chewing his gum really loud and obnoxiously and Luke told him to be quiet. That was the first time I've agreed with Luke.

In Band we went over all our songs and did the same in Choir. Those classes weren't that bad today.

We did ACT practice in Language, which is the worst thing ever. I'm not even going to take the ACT any more, but she still makes us practice for it. We also did another worksheet about commas and adjectives.

After school I got some Dairy Queen and went to Cape to go to work. I sat at my spot in the Cracker Barrel parking lot until it was time for me to go in.

In Cape there was a pipe that broke a few days ago, so Red Lobster had lemonade dispensers with boiled water in the bathroom since the sinks didn't work. Also, they had a ton of water bottles and 2 liter soda bottles instead of the normal soda machine.

Today I worked with Megan and learned that she put her two weeks in, which is kind of sad because she was fun to work with. The day was going pretty good until the last hour. There were at least four groups of these French or Swedish people who walked in. Most of them didn't speak English and one of the groups had eleven people. Also they were all wearing Harley Davidson jackets. Kind of odd.

I left and went home where I played some games and went to bed a little after 12.

Today was good. Work felt short and not too hard and school was alright. 6/10.

10/4/22

This morning, I woke up freezing. I had left my window open, but I didn't realize it would be 37 degrees outside. I also had to take a shower this morning, and I hate taking showers when it's cold. My mom made us an odd combo of noodles and biscuits with jelly for breakfast this morning. It was delicious. When I got to my car, I forgot my gas was literally on zero because I wanted to fill up in Jackson, but I left anyway.

Christian Response was so boring. We watched a video of a guy talking about how Christians should date and I fell asleep and woke back up at least seven times.

Chemistry was also bad today. We only did notes.

In Law in Action, we got into groups to work on a worksheet about a court case, but I kept falling asleep while we were supposed to be working on it. The people in my group were Lily and Erin, and I don't know if they noticed that I kept falling asleep. There were only four questions on the sheet, so I still got it done.

Lunch was tacos, which are one of my favorite lunches now. The only thing is, is that we only get one little taco. It never fills me up.

In Health, I thought me and Gabe were going to do our Mediterranean diet presentation today, but Mrs. Birk is going to wait until no one is absent. So instead we filled out a chart of different organs in body systems for the whole hour.

In Band we separated into brass and woodwinds like we do every Tuesday. In Choir, we started learning a Christmas song, but I forgot which one. Choir wasn't as bad as it has been.

We peer reviewed our essays in LA4. I got Carson's. That meant I had to do a lot of editing, and I felt like if I didn't, it would be my fault if he got a bad grade. So I put my heart into editing this paper and I was still editing it after everybody else was done. I did all that to find out that my paper was edited by Cory, who definitely put in about two percent effort. He did find some things, though, like I forgot my page numbers.

After school I filled up with three gallons of gas in Fruitland, but waited until I got to Jackson for bowling practice to fill the rest of the way up. Today we had to write down our scores so Mr. Drury could have an idea of who would be competing in tournaments. My two scores were not very good and I did better last week. I got a 165 my first game, but my second game was in the 130s. I don't think other people did that good either, but those definitely weren't my best scores I could've gotten.

After bowling I went to Walmart for no reason and walked around and didn't buy anything. Then I went home. My mom made meat loaf, peas, pasta salad, and scalloped potatoes for supper. I only ate meat loaf and scalloped potatoes, and kind of felt bad because my mom made all of it, but I didn't feel like eating much.

I fell asleep really early at seven o'clock and woke up at 10:45. Then I couldn't fall asleep, so I played some games and went to bed after 2 o'clock.

Today was also pretty average, but at least today I went bowling. 6/10.

10/3/22

I woke up today at around 6:50, got ready, grabbed some fruit snacks and a Pop Tart, and left. The only thing I ended up eating were the fruit snacks because I just was not feeling the Pop Tarts.

Christian Response was the same boring class. We went over the homework from last night and that was it.

In Chemistry, we finished our test from Monday, which I barely re-studied for, and went straight into the next set of notes.

Law in Action was also pretty boring even though it's usually fun. We just wrote down some notes and talked about appeal court cases. We listened to some audio from a few cases, one being about a girl who went to the supreme court for posting an offensive post about her school's cheer team. Also by this time, my stomach was really growling from only eating a pack of fruit snacks.

Lunch was the gross slab of chicken with mashed potatoes, so I ordered a Caesar salad. I also had some white cheddar Cheez-Its. It was a pretty good lunch.

Band was not super great. One of the freshman was really annoying because he took my chair and my stand, but I don't think he realized they were mine. We just played the hard song, but I don't think we made any progress. In Choir, Jack was still very annoying.

In Language Arts we wrote a journal entry about foods we used to hate but now like. For some reason, Mrs. Chambless was calling on everyone in the class to tell her what foods we used to not like, and I had to give my whole paragraph of things I used to not like. That included burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, hot dogs, and whatever else. We also did a worksheet and that was it for that class.

After school I went home and didn't really do much. Janell got home and brought a 6 count chicken tenders from Dairy Queen with her. Apparently, she had just ordered pretzels, but they gave her the chicken with it, so she just took it. We went and saw the cats and played more frisbee. That's kind of been my thing lately. I didn't have any homework, so I played games and watched Dahmer on Netflix before I went to bed at around 12.

Today was average. 5/10.

10/2/22

Today began like most days, with me waking up, falling asleep for thirty more minutes, and then falling asleep again for another hour. I really don't like waking up like that and I'd rather just get up when I first wake up, but that never happens. So it was about 10:30 when I actually got up.

The morning was pretty boring and I didn't really do anything. My dad was somewhere all morning. I think he was at my grandpa's house helping with something. There was also a lunch going on at the church that I kind of wanted to go to to work at so I could get some service hours, but Janell didn't want to go. Instead, Janell and I drove to town and went to TJ Maxx. I got a green sweatshirt with purple on it and I think it's pretty cool. Janell also got Taco Bell again for the third day in a row. I didn't get any because I felt like I'd already spent my daily amount of money on the sweatshirt, even though it was only 18 dollars.

We got home and didn't really do anything. About half an hour after we got home, Jennifer came to our house to drop our mom off from her seminar. Jennifer also came in for a bit. Our mom brought us some freebies from the seminar and some Under Armor stuff because apparently they were having a sale up there. I got some sweatpants. I then played Pokémon Shield for a bit because I'm a nerd and haven't played in a while.

We had fried chicken, Rice-a-Roni, and salad for supper. It was pretty good. After supper, Janell and I went down to see the cats. Sheila and Cheetah Girl (I just gave him that name today) were going crazy and running around everywhere. Janell and I also threw the frisbee around some more while we were down there. Then, my dad played for a bit, too, before he left to go to my grandma's house. I would've gone with him, but I have homework. I've actually been wanting to go to her house lately, because I've been thinking of moving into her upstairs if I don't stay in the dorms at SEMO (if I go there). For the rest of my night, I procrastinated doing my homework until about 9:45. I have the whole autobiography to finish, the chemistry test to study for since we're finishing it Monday, and Christian response which Janell said she would split with me, but she hasn't yet. So I'm going to go finish that stuff.

Today was alright, but nothing special. I'd give it a 6/10.

10/1/22

Today is going to be purely a Red Lobster day, unfortunately. I have a 11 hour shift. I woke up this morning feeling pretty refreshed, waking up around 8. I took a shower, did all the usual things and left for work. I’d never opened before, but today I had to. I also had a Sausage McMuffin before I got to work.

When I got there, I was going to go to the front door, but Chevy showed up and said we had to go through the back. Apparently they have a doorbell that you press and the manager will let you in the back. Luckily, Terri was there early and showed me the opening stuff, which was basically only turning on the Prestos. The hosts were me, Terri, and Reese. I went on break at 2 o’clock and ate a Lobster Pizza. That’s basically the only thing I get here. Everything else seems too filling.

The rest of the night was pretty normal. Terri left and it was just me and Reese, which made things worse, because I don’t really like him. At around 7, Mr. Gholson walked in and scared the crap out of me. He just appeared there with his wife and kid, who looked just like him. He said he’d raise my chemistry test score for giving him a short wait. That was probably the most exciting thing that happened today. That’s how boring it was. I snuck a blurry picture of him, and that’s about it. Also I started getting a really bad headache a little after 7. Then, at 8 o’clock, the managers let Reese go home, without discussing it with me, even though I should have been first cut because I got there at 10:45 and he got there at 12:00. Also Reese was talking about how tired he was, but then he said he was going to a party after. That’s why I don’t like him. He’s apparently in a frat and he thinks that makes him cool. So I closed and left at 10. Also my headache was really bad at this point.

I got home and laid in bed because no one else was home. My dad and sister got back from wherever they were and apparently got Taco Bell for themselves and not me even though I only ate two things today. So I made a grilled cheese and went to bed.

Today was boring and not that great. 3/10.
