I haven't written in a long while, but I guess I should start again. Today I woke up not wanting to go to school. Last night I'd fallen asleep really early at like, 9 o'clock but then woke up at 2 in the morning and couldn't fall asleep until 3. So I guess that's what made me tired this morning. I ate some crescent rolls and left the house. I listened to Billy Joel on the way to school and that got Where's the Orchestra stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
We didn't have school yesterday because it was President's Day, so we had small groups today. They talked about our roles for the skit we would be doing. I wanted to volunteer for a role but was too scared so I got stuck with the opening prayer. I probably would've had a role if Jayla would've been normal and picked a girl role, but no, she picked a guy role.
Anyways, I don't think I've made a single post talking about my classes this semester. So this'll be the first.
My first hour is unfortunately Christian Response, which I also had first hour last semester and I hate having that first hour. Today we listened to a Lutheran Divine Service and read through hymnals. The hymnals were actually from Trinity Lutheran Egypt Mills so that was cool.
Next hour was Personal Finance. In this class I usually just play Minesweeper, but today we had a big assignment where we picked 7 career clusters we liked and then picked 3 careers from each cluster. I actually put some effort into this assignment because I need to figure out what kind of job I want. I'm honestly thinking about just being a truck driver. They make okay money and get to travel the country alone. But then I wouldn't have to go to college and I'm already planning on going to college.
Third hour is Lifetime Sports which is my favorite class. All day today I've been looking forward to playing ultimate frisbee and I get to the class and find out we're actually doing yoga today. So that sucked. There was this lady who was from HealthPoint in Jackson who came in and had us to these stretches that were actually really hard. Especially the Cobra. That one was hard because I have a rod in my back so it can't bend that way. That lady is also coming back on Thursday and Friday, so tomorrow will be our only ultimate frisbee day. One's better than none.
Lunch was disgusting orange chicken and I forgot to order a salad. I ate one bite of the egg roll and the rest of my lunch was a single apple. I've been eating an apple every day with my lunch. I'm kind of addicted.
After lunch is Modern Literature, which is not a fun class. The book we just finished was The Five People You Meet in Heaven and she had us make PowerPoints over who our five people would be. So today we presented the slideshows. Katelynn Dreyer picked me to go when the time came, so I went. My presentation actually went pretty well. I feel like even though I'm not good at talking, I am pretty good at presenting. I can always make people laugh, which is kind of surprising. My last person I had on my slideshow was my grandma and for some reason, the picture of her I'd put on there took up half of the screen. And it wasn't even a good picture of her, so that was kind of funny. The rest of the people on the slides were my dad, mom, sister, and my cousin Johnny. Johnny was just kind of a filler person.
Band and Choir are still my fifth and sixth hour classes and they are both still boring. We have a student teacher from SEMO who's in the same class as Hunter Landstrom from Red Lobster. Her name is Ms. Cotter and she's alright. She had me play my part by myself in band which Mrs. Rivers never had me do. In Choir I start writing in this blog again.
In Chemistry we did notes. That was it.
After school I thought about working out but then decided to go home and do absolutely nothing. I just watched South Park and played The Sims. My mom made an interesting meal of meatloaf, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes.
Today was kind of boring. Hopefully tomorrow won't be. 5/10.
