11/14/22

Today I woke up and didn't want to go to school, so I didn't. I had a sore throat, a cough, and a little headache, so I didn't really feel that great. I probably could have gone to school, but I needed a break. I had actually gotten up and was ready before telling my parents I didn't feel well enough to go, so I went back to my room and went to bed again.

I woke up around 10:30 and watched some TikTok and YouTube. I mainly stayed in my bed the whole day. I didn't eat much either because my appetite was gone. At some point I started watching The Emperor's New Groove because I haven't watched that movie in at least 10 years. I also shiny hunted Pichu throughout the whole movie and never got it even though I was over odds.

I honestly don't remember what else I did today. It felt like the day went by super fast. 7/10 because I didn’t go to school.

11/12/22

Today was the first snow of the year! It didn't look like more than a frost, but it was still kind of exciting. I woke up pretty early at around 7 and went down to make breakfast. I fried two eggs, added shredded cheese, and topped them off with gochujang. That's my special recipe. Nobody was up yet, so I went back up to my room and didn't do much.

Once my family got up I hung out with them a bit and don't really remember what I did. I left for work at 10:30 and brought a Baja Blast with me. Work started out kind of rough because Tristian called in late and he was supposed to be the opener. Also I had green fuzz all over me from my hoodie so I had to pull all of that off. So then I had to open with around three minutes to get everything done. I got all the batteries in the Prestos and names assigned on the computer and that was about everything that happened over the morning. Also the whole day I had to work with this girl named Jashauna, who was the same person I worked with last Saturday, but I hadn't really talked to her until today.

I took my break a little after 2 or 3 o'clock, I don't remember which one. Sara said I could have a little longer break today so I decided to go to Culvers. I went in and saw my boy, Matthew Theiss, but he didn't look very happy to see me. I ordered a chicken tender kid's meal and it was delicious. After that I went to Teen Challenge, but didn't get anything. It felt so good outside. Then I had to go back to work.

I'm pretty sure nothing significant happened at all the rest of the night. I had to work from open to close with 45 minutes for my break, so literally my entire day was at Red Lobster. Also, Tristian was supposed to be a split and came in around 12, but Sara sent him home because his outfit was dirty. He was supposed to come in for an evening shift at around 5 but didn't, so that's why I had to close. And Jashauna hasn't worked a night and didn't know how.

Today wasn't that great and would've been a lot lower, but the weather carried. 5/10.

11/11/22

Today was Veteran's Day. That meant we had to park in the gravel parking lot at school because the normal one was for people going to the Veteran's Day Breakfast thing. The breakfast was during first hour and after that was a ceremony thing.

We had a test in Christian Response which was easy. I used the copy and paste method for the short answers.

I got out of Christian Response early to go set up for the Veteran's Day ceremony for band. The ceremony thing started after first hour. Chamber Choir started by singing the national anthem. Mr. Ruark and Mrs. Adams talked about I don't even know what after that. They kept trying to show this one video but it wouldn't play. Mr. Gholson actually gave a pretty good speech about war and veterans and stuff. Band played the same Armed Forces Salute song that we played every year. Then we sang God Bless America and it was over.

Next hour I had a Chemistry test and it was the worst one yet. It was over steric numbers, lone pairs, and that was about all I knew. There was also some pyramidal and tetrahedral stuff that I didn't understand. 99 percent of my answers were estimated guesses.

The rest of the day was boring. We're playing the worst Christmas songs ever in Band. Christmas at the Circus is the newest addition and it sucks.

After school I had work and it also sucked. The vibes before work were really good, though. I went to Goodwill and bought a CD that I played for about 1 second and realized I didn't like it. I instead listened to jazz and Christmas music on Bluetooth because it felt like Christmas outside. It's so crazy how this Wednesday it was over 80 degrees and now, 2 days later, it's in the thirties. I sat in my Cracker Barrel spot and listened to music until it was 3:50. Work was bad because I just wasn't in the zone. It's like I had no idea what I was doing. There was a Veteran's Day deal going on that I didn't understand, I'm pretty sure I was the only SA, I spilled a glass of water, and I just didn't like work today. After work I left but forgot to take my headset off so I had to ask Ricky to come let me back in after I'd already walked out the locked doors.

I got home and went to bed after that. 6/10. The cold weather carried today.

11/10/22

Today I really did not want to get up. I almost convinced myself to take a mental health day. I rode with Janell and had a Baja Blast to wake me up a bit.

We did a Kahoot in Christian Response to review for the test tomorrow and I was in last place for basically the entire game.

I don't remember what I did for the rest of the school day. There was a test in Health over all the diseases we presented over. Apparently we were allowed to look in the textbook for the test but I thought we were only allowed to use other people's presentations, so I didn't use the book. I did use Google a few times when Mrs. Birk was away from her computer.

After school I had to wait for Janell because she was talking to Addie and Myra and Caroline about swim. Then for some reason, Janell and Myra were going to go to Caroline's house, so I had to go with them. Janell had me ride with Caroline while she and Myra went together. We listened to country music and I had to find a picture of her Danny Davito grandma that fell down the seat crack.

At her house she gave us a tour of the new renovations and I got to see her dogs again. That was about it. She showed us her stolen road sign collection.

I think that was about it for today. 7/10.

11/9/22

Hmmm, what happened today. I woke up at 6:40 and finished my Christian Response homework that was due at 8. I'm pretty sure I had a donut for breakfast.

In Christian Response we were supposed to be working on the review but I didn't.

We just did notes and steric number stuff in Chemistry.

I honestly don't remember Law in Action. We didn't work on the mock trial today.

Lunch was soup day and it tasted better than usual. I ate all my potato soup and all of my grilled cheese, which I usually give away.

We finished listening to presentations in Health.

I'm really starting to get tired of Band. I dread going to it. Choir's a little better. At least Jack hasn't been talking to me as much.

In Language we worked on these stupid apostrophe, capitalization, hyphen, whatever worksheets for the entire hour. It was stuff we learned in like, 2nd grade, so it was boring and I fell asleep a few times. I'm really surprised Mrs. Chambless never yelled at me.

After school I sat in a hotel parking lot because my usual Cracker Barrel spot had been taken by someone else. It was like 80 degrees and it's the second week of November. I really wish it would get cold already.

Work was alright. It was not busy at all, but I was still kind of scared of it getting busy because most of the night we only had three servers on. I feel like I should mention some more of the people who I think quit so I don't forget about it. Sadly, I'm pretty sure Terri quit. She hasn't been scheduled the past two weeks and I kind of figured she would because she always complained about how they never let her off. Terri was definitely something, but it's kind of sad she's gone. Russell the server is gone and I'm pretty sure Reese also left. I didn't really care about either of them so that's okay.

On my way home from work that night, I was sitting at a stoplight with my windows down and a girl in a car next to me knocked on the window and I looked over and she asked to be friends, so I have a friend now.

I got home and went to sleep. Today was a 6/10.

11/8/22

I don't remember what happened in the morning today, but I know at school, Mrs. Landewee was still gone from bronchitis so we had Mrs. Lynn. They just played Hangman the whole 45 minutes because it was Crusader Time, but I don't like Hangman so I did other work.

In Christian Response we did a worksheet but I couldn't find the reading for it so I didn't do it.

Chemistry was boring notes.

In Law in Action we just worked on the mock trial case.

Lunch was a barbeque pork sandwich which was really good.

In Health I presented my tuberculosis presentation and it went alright. I also accidentally left my AirPods under the desk in there.

Band and Choir were boring.

In LA we listened to a podcast about an 11 year old surviving a plane crash and it was also really boring.

After school I went to bowling. I bowled my new best game of 207. Then my second game was 112.

Then after bowling, I went to Nell Holcomb because my dad wanted me to go vote. Mrs. Lynn was in there for some reason so I saw her twice today. The ladies checked my driver's license, gave me a ballot, and I filled it out. Some of it I didn't really understand, like some of the amendments, but whatever. I got a sticker.

I went home and my dad was the only one there. He was really proud because he was making steaks and he never cooks. My mom had made some potatoes before she had to go to work. The steak got kind of crispy, but it was still pretty good. Janell got home from her swim practice.

I tried getting some homework done but really didn't. Then I went to bed at around 12.

Today was eh. I did more than usual so it's a 6/10.

11/7/22

Today I actually woke up today, but wasn't that tired until I got to school. I think my mom made some more lil smokies that I ate for breakfast. At school the guitar pastor was there and I fell asleep in chapel.

Christian Response was boring and we just talked about a worksheet we did a few days ago.

Chemistry was also boring and I didn't talk at all in that class.

In Law in Action we worked on our case for the mock trial.

Lunch was the most disgusting lunch, which is orange chicken and rice, but luckily I remembered to order a salad.

In Health a few people did their presentations, but I didn't even know how to turn mine in. Mine was over tuberculosis by the way.

Band and Choir were both boring. I signed up to give blood at 1:45 so I got to leave Choir early.

I mainly signed up to give blood to get out of Language class, but I just like giving blood in general. I sent a snap to Taylor at work and apparently one of the guys working in the background of the snap was her stepdad. And he was the guy who checked me in and asked me all the questions. The actual guy taking my blood was apparently really new and he missed my vein when he stabbed me so an old lady had to re-stab me. Otherwise, everything went good.

I went home and ate some ham and potatoes my mom made. Janell left to go to swim practice because she apparently signed up for that. I fell asleep from like, 6 until 8. I started watching a movie called "I Love You, Man" but didn't finish it. Then I went to bed.

Today was boring but at least I saved three lives. 6/10.

11/6/22

Last night I didn't go to sleep until like, 3, but I still got up at 9:30 this morning because I didn't want to sleep in again.

I really didn't do anything for most of the morning. I went out to ride the four wheeler and was going really fast, so my dad told me to slow down. Then my dad wanted me to go help him but he was being annoying about it. Then he got really mad at me because I told him I would be out in a bit. So I went out there even though I didn't really want to. He had me stick a fishing line down the well to find the static level. After that we marked a bunch of logs at the old house because the numbers on them were fading. We also put a plate of tin onto the roof of the old house because I guess it'd fallen off.

After that I went back inside. My dad had to go to Rach's to let Daniel borrow a plow for his tractor so Janell and I came along too. We ate there and they had really good burgers on Texas toast. We also had pumpkin pie. Janell held Emma Molly the whole time so I had to play with Matthew. He was calm at first but ended up going kind of crazy. But it was fun. We talked with them outside a bit before we left.

Once we left, we went to my grandma's house to put her to bed. After I told my grandma hi, I fell asleep in Troy's bed and slept until we had to go. I also pet Marnie and T-Cat.

I did some homework once I got home and went to bed. Today was alright but nothing too special. 6/10.

11/5/22

Today was kind of a crazy day. Last night I was up kind of late watching Menace II Society and apparently I didn't plug my phone in or set an alarm. I woke up at 11:30 and I had work at 12. It was really lucky I didn't sleep in 5 minutes longer. I brought a car charger with me to plug my phone in on the way. Also, on the way to work I passed this car on a curve and almost hit a semi, which was probably one of the stupidest things I've done, but the car in front of me was going so slow.

I got to work on time with my phone on 5 percent. There were 4 SAs on today and I really don't know why. It was me, Tristian, Jashauna, and Zariya. The last two were new and Jashauna was still training. We did not work very well together. The new ones didn't know what they were doing and not marking tables when they sat people, not folding the menus correctly, putting us on a wait when we didn't need to be on one, and other stuff. I really didn't mind any of this, but Rich was getting really mad. We ran out of silverware so I went to tell him and he was like, "Today I've learned none of you know how to do anything blah, blah, blah, so maybe some of you will be able to roll silverware." So I went back to the 60s and rolled up some silverware. I kind of started talking to the Zariya girl and learned she was easy to talk to. Rich had the SA's pick numbers to see who would go on break first since we were all splits. I got the closest number but chose to take my break last.

On my break I went to Sam's. On the way there I saw Aiden and Ava at Olive Garden getting in their car so I sent a picture of them to Aiden like a stalker. At Sam's I got a pretzel and a brownie sundae. I had to leave pretty quickly because I was supposed to be back at 5. I didn't even finish my pretzel or sundae and left them in my car.

When I got back into Red Lobster, I found out that Aiden and Ava were eating in here instead of Olive Garden because they said the wait was too long there. So I talked to them for a bit and Ava hugged me before they left. It started to get pretty busy at around 5:30. This was when Zariya and I actually started talking. Usually it takes me like, 3 months of knowing someone to talk to someone openly, but for some reason I could just talk to her. Rich then gave us SA's certain jobs so we wouldn't mess up as much. I would take down names and put people on the wait list, Tristian would clean tables, and Zariya would seat people. That worked out pretty well, even though I kind of felt bad for Tristian because he was obviously doing more work. We were talking the whole time up at the host stand. She kept making fun of me for not know anything about Beyoncé and for going to Saxony, but I was making fun of her for having no idea what she was doing. After Trusty Tristian got cut, Zariya and I were cleaning off the tables in the 30s and I decided to get cocky and pick up two trays at once. This part makes me cringe, but I almost dropped one of the trays as I picked it up and I screamed for some reason and a lot of people looked at me. I made it to the kitchen with both trays but as I was about to sit them down at the dishwasher a plate fell off the tray and shattered. So I had to clean that up and that was my first dish I've broken. It was kind of embarrassing, but yesterday I heard at least three things shatter in the kitchen so it's not uncommon. Zariya said she was leaving at 9:30 but stayed a while after to help me close. Next week I'm not scheduled to work with her and I'm kind of scared I'll never work with her again.

Tonight was really good and it didn't even feel like I was at work. It just felt like I was hanging out. 7/10.

11/4/22

Today was Friday, but for some reason I'm never really happy when it's Friday anymore.

In Christian Response we did notes over how gay the ancient Romans were.

We probably just did notes in Chemistry.

In Law in Action we started talking about our mock trial and I got to pick which team to be on since I put that I didn't care. I could choose between Lily, Josie, Jayden, and Erin, or Kennady, Matthew, Caroline, and Camryn. I obviously chose the second group because I know them better. We got our own private notebooks on OneNote and wrote down some ideas for our case.

Lunch was tacos, which were good.

In Health we worked on presentations, but I mainly worked on my American Law class that I was taking online.

Band and Choir were boring.

In LA we had a debate over whether the voting age should be lowered and we separated into groups. I found some really good points but my group didn't pick me as a spokesperson so I didn't get to tell them. And the rest of my team made really stupid points.

After school I got Dairy Queen and drove to work. I sat in my little spot across from the hotel and ate my chicken tenders. They were really good.

I went in at 4 and found out I was going to be the only SA working tonight. I was okay with that because it was really slow for a Friday night. It stayed slow until around 7 o'clock. Then it got really busy. There were at least two volleyball teams come in and one was a 25 top. We were on an hour long wait and it was kind of crazy. Luckily Rich was helping me out some. My tip share for that night was 73 dollars. That was the first time my tip share has been more than my hourly pay.

Overall today was pretty good. Work surprisingly wasn't too bad. 7/10.

11/3/22

I got up today, shaved because I'm not paying 15 bucks for No Shave November, grabbed some lil smokies my mom made, and left. I wasn't really that hungry so I only ate one of the smokies.

After school my mom and sister brought me a barbeque burrito from Burrito-ville and it was alright, but I wasn't that hungry.

I don't remember anything else I did at school or after school, so it was probably pretty average. 5/10.

11/2/22

I have no idea what happened today. I know I had school and work. Work wasn't as good as last week because we were busier, but at least I got more money.

6/10.

11/1/22

Today I woke up late because I stayed up late last night. I had one handful of Reese's Puffs and that was my breakfast.

In Christian Response we just did notes.

We had the test in Chemistry and apparently everyone thinks they failed it. I really didn't understand anything. I probably got half the questions right just from using context clues, but half is only 50%. But at least I'm not the only one who didn't get it.

In Law in Action a judge came in. His name was Michael Gardner and I think he was an eastern regional appeals judge for Missouri or something. He told us about his job and some of the cases he's had. It was actually pretty cool. He was open for questions and I was going to ask him if judges could send lawyers to jail if they misbehave like the judge in My Cousin Vinnie did, but I didn't ask.

Lunch was the disgusting abomination of the chicken slab, instant mashed potatoes, carrots, and peanut butter. I ate a couple carrots with ranch and ate my peanut butter in a cup.

I don't remember the rest of the day, but after school I went to Pizza Inn instead of going to bowling because I was hungry since lunch sucked. I went there by myself and there were only like, three other elderly people there. I stuffed myself to the brim and it was delicious. My mom was kind of mad I skipped bowling for some reason.

Today was alright. I'd give it a 6/10.
